OMG, you have no idea how talented they are! They started as kids, and Paulina even trains by running on a treadmill while singing to master playing the drums and controlling her breathing. They’re incredibly young-just 20, 22, and 24-and already so skilled. I’ve played drums since I was a kid, so I know how challenging it is to play with the intensity she does while singing at the same time. She even uses a special microphone that filters out the drum sounds to keep her vocals clear. I’ve seen them live, and they’re absolutely incredible-both their full performances and acoustic sets are amazing. I highly recommend checking out their show at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City; they were even younger then, and the performance was outstanding. One acoustic song, Revenant, really stands out. It’s a beautiful, stripped-down setting where Paulina, the drummer, sings. It showcases their raw talent perfectly!
Check out Burnout at Sofar in London in 2024. Or try their acoustic set at Radio station CHOM in Montreal in 2023. Or try their acoustic set from 2019 at the Hotel Auténtico in Monterrey, Mexico.
Pau has been singing while playing drums since she was a pre teen. She practiced singing while running on a treadmill. Her headset mic is gated so that she has to be singing loudly for it to pick it up. They do use stems for background vocals at times, as well as for some sound effects or occasionally keyboard or a second guitar that they recorded in the studio. However, Dany programs her Kemper footboard with different distortions and effects, including delay and octave shift sent through a second channel to fatten the sound and give the illusion often of a second guitar. She changes these on the fly during a song depending on whether she is playing a verse, chorus, or solo/lead.
Dany uses a Kemper board that has all the guitar and studio amplifier profiles stored in it so that her guitar will sound like it did in the studio. SH also uses a harmonizer function to duplicate and time delay and extra guitar signal up and/or down an octave. Limited use of backing tracks, sometimes there are extra vocals as in Dust to Dust where there is a track with the "Preacher" speaking in Spanish (but it is barely auidble because the crowd was reciting the lines). They usually don't use vocal backing tracks, though, because the three of them sing and they do teo and three part harmonies while performing. Sometimes there is a keyboard, sometimes sounds included on an album track. They perform all the instruments and such on the backing tracks. Pau has been singing while drumming since she was a little girl. She doesn't even remember how or when she learned to do that. But she works on her conditioning, as does Dany and Ale, and she has incredible stamina. As someone else says in a comment, she does practice singing whole working out on a treadmill. That's why her voice sounds so steady despite her moving around while she is playing drums. She has that much control.
Haha, your sceptism makes me laugh. You better believe that they sound as good as you heard. OK, there are backing tracks to make them sound fuller as they are only a 3 piece but whatever is in the backing track is played by them also. I have been to 13 live shows by The Warning from UK to USA and even their private show in London. In the private show, a relaxed show in front of 280 fans, they still sounded brilliant. There is footage on youtube at Bush Hall, London, 2023. Thanks for the reaction and you will know by your next reaction to Alanis morrisette's cover that they are the real deal. All live with no tracks. 🤟
No lead vocals on tracks. Minimal guitars. Usually just keyboard pedal tones and such. Dany's guitar is split into multiple channels, with different delays and effects, often sounding like multiple guitars. Watch Pau sing 23, Black Holes and Breathe. Raw emotion. I saw them live in a 1500 person club in Los Angeles and the sound was incredible. Definitely in the top couple of concerts I have heard. My concert days go back to the early 70s and this was mind melting good.
I saw The Warning live in Brooklyn again; what you're hearing is them. Find their acoustic sets if you want to see how incredible they are totally stripped back. Pau and Dany are amazing but I'm going to tell you how much of an impact Ale has had on me. I love Rock and Jazz. The first time I watched The Warning I was stunned watching Ale: What was a word-class Jazz Bassist doing playing Rock? In Ale's incredibly powerful yet crystal clear progressions I could hear the influence of Jaco Pastorius, a Jazz Bassist, and greatest Bassist of all time. It's easy to miss how much Ale does while making it seem like she's not doing much. Ale has perfect pitch/timing, plays the Bass-line, seamlessly switches to the Melody-line, and then throws in incredible Bass-solos. I found out later that Ale started playing Jaco Pastorius' catalog at only 9, and then found a video of her playing Jaco's incredibly difficult Jazz masterpiece "Donna Lee" at 11; Ale wasn't trying to play it, she was just playing it, which is insane. Ale is still only 19, yet a great deal of the Wall of Sound that you hear from these 3 sisters isn't coming from any backing track, it's coming from Ale. (Dany can also switch between/ split the pick-ups active her guitar to make it sound like more that one guitar is playing.) This is what you get when you have 3 such talented and creative sisters; and a huge part of the sound The Warning can generate is possible because the youngest sister is an incredibly talented Jazz and Jazz-Fusion Bassist who seamlessly switches from the Bass-line to the Melody-line that an entirely different instrument would normally be playing, and then back to the Bass-line again, as if it's nothing.
These big production shows only happen once a year and only in Mexico (2025 will be the third time they are doing something at this level, and every time it's gotten bigger). Can confirm that in-person they were even better than I had hoped. At their tour finale in Toronto where they were headlining (rest of the Canada tour had been in support of Halestorm and Evanescence) all they had on stage was the three of them, a smoke machine and the small amount of lights that the venue has. And it rocked. There's a few fan cams already up from that gig if you need to take a peek, but I would highly suggest getting a ticket next time they come around your parts. Worth every penny of the ticket, and the fans are a very welcoming group, I personally had a blast the entire day. But ya, being 15ft in front of Dany when she's singing Hell You Call A Dream, the passion and joy and rock awesomeness can't be faked. A big part of it that isn't appreciated outside The Warning Army is their sound guy, Lalo. He is a master at getting their sound just right so that it does sound this good in person. In fact, the first night I saw them, their sound mix was better than either Halestorm or Evanescence. The Warning were very loud, but everything was clear and well presented. I cannot stress enough that in person Pau's snare is a damn cannon going off when she hits it hard. Never heard anything like it before.
FYI UA-cam has a new feature under the settings of the video called Stable Volume and if you do not want the volume muted, you have to disable this setting.
Queens of the Rocker Scene TW....🤟😎🖤⚡♨️🇲🇽 They are everything is good in the Rock music, They are as if the soul and spirit of the greatest rock bands claim their place at the same time.
If breathing is what is needed please go to the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert of 2022 and listen to 23. Most reactors initially thought it was lip syncing until they heard the unmistakable sound of breathing from Pau. Epic performance at the age of 20. This band plays everything on every single song. Every single band uses tracks but The Warning keeps it to the absolute minimum.
Ask Lzzy Hale which was the song she dedided from to invite them to go on tour with them.. I mean she saw the version of Dull Knives they played in thier small studio at home called the cave, where they crushed with the minimun bells and whistles.. of course for what I saw here, you will try to find backing tracks here and there, but at least youll know the kind of sound they can produce by themselves. I guess you can find that version by adding "live the cave, home, etc.."
I've seen them twice once in 2023, once in 2024 in the UK. 800 capacity and 1500 capacity. Theys sound exactly the same, they just don't have the big screens and the light show. They have their tracks playing, its not hard to do these days, even amateur bands can run tracks off a laptop (and do). They have acoustic versions of songs out on youtube, and all the songs hold up without the extra tracks. Infact I prefer some of their newer songs stripped down, as I thought the latest album was a bit over produced for my taste. You can't hear Pau's breathing because she has to have such a high noise gate on her mic to stop the drums from bleeding through.
That is how they sound, they have been using a click and backing track since they were preteens,, they have accoustic performances of many songs on ther UA-cam channels.
Here's the era where I think the stronger compositions are more enjoyable and it's all them. This is all from the Cave. The classical training allows them to be more interesting in a simple classic rock format.
Reactors all think there are extra guitar and backing tracks, in this age of technology with a group that grew up as the new tech was being released. She’s got all guitars set up with more than one channel to switch between. The drummer has been singing and drumming since she was like 10 and theres video of that. On your own time or you can post it, there’s a video where Pau shows one of he previous set ups and explains what she does with the computer and that she controls it with a pedal. Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/pIo-5Htb9zA/v-deo.htmlsi=UGENBF0YSY4zaZ1O
Pau is acrually singing while playing drums and has been doing it for a while. You can hear her breathing in between singing on some songs. They rarely if ever use tracks except to fill out the music some, and if there are tracks, it was all recorded and played by them.
I encourage you to watch the song Sinister Smiles of their Acoustic Session at Autentico Hotel. Which was a few years ago, but it will give you a total idea of what they were capable to do at that age and understand what they are capable of do now.
The Pepsi Center performance was their celebration of 10 years as a band. Of course it was a production in front of 8000 people who came to see them and only them. They have no lead vocals or instruments on their backing tracks. After the incident where the PC with the click and backing tracks fell off the stand and the lid closed, turning everything off,, they have nothing on their backing tracks they can not perform without. There are enough "acoustic" performances which show exactly how they sing and play with nothing but them. I put "acoustic" in quotes because Pau frequently plays electronic drums for those performances. On the other hand, a favorite band of mine got on stage, plugged in their instruments and the lead singer stepped up to the mic and said "If you can hear it, it is acoustic," then they started their set. You could listen to ua-cam.com/video/UdD0nv9xVyQ/v-deo.html The Warning on the Preston and Steve Show where Pau, instead of Dany, sings Money. But no backing tracks.
ALE the bassist created this Dust to Dust groove at age 11.. both songs were written by them as early teens.. For The Queen of the Murder Scene Concept Album.. It was Pau's idea to make it a story album. These girls got "it" all of "it" 💥🤯💥 🌎✌️
I have seen them twice in small venues in new york -they sound awesome -also saw them in a small outdoor venue opening for halestorm and they sounded great there also-check out some of the recent acoustic performances that are on their channel-they are extremely talented -know and understand music theory -work very hard and love what they do -anytime they perform-they will give 100%-add they are humble -eager to learn -have a great support team musically and personally
There's pretty much no backing track versions of most of their songs especially the older ones, not that they use much for many songs, there's certainly more in their new album studio version but even the live versions they've done so far for them they don't bother using most of the effects. They specifically make sure their songs can still sound good live without anything needed, the backing touches generally come after the completed song. Most of the guitar effects are just doubled effects she hits on her sound board at her feet. Nothing wrong with being skeptical though.
Bud, I get you're coming in late, but I've been following them since they started. They don't hide anything. Pau does use I think Ableton to run tracks that they play while recording, and Dany runs a doubler and pitch now and then. They purposely write to make it possible to sound great for show. Why a lot of us older school rockers love them, so I get it, todays world everyone cheats to a certain extent so you're very questionable? I don't know why you come off like you think you're being Lied to? Do some research, you'll be really surprised.! Im Not saying they don't use anything, but compared to most, its very very light. Again, Why they're loved. They each have vids where they go through their equipment and also their setups, technical, etc for the show. Maybe that'll clue you in a bit more... Keep an Open Mind my friend. Rock On DPA & TWA!⚡✌️🤟⚠️⚡
Legit questions and you have many answers already. If you watch their Gear Masters videos they explain a bit about how they push so much sound out. Keep watching them and you will find out. Their acoustic/stripped down performances will show you a lot. ⚡️⚡️⚡️🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Yes, there are plenty vids out there. They do many acoustic / stripped down performances. They excel in both extremes IMO. BTW - remember Pau was a middle schooler when she came up with this concept and starting the writing process. It's my favorite TW album, even though it's not as polished as ERROR or KMF. I don't blame you for your comments, since it is a bit wild that they have perfected their craft as much as they have... I saw them live and know that her vocals are her vocals - they may have cleaned up any imperfections for these videos, but the live vocals are damn near perfect. I personally don't like everthing on a click track - their performances of these songs when they first did them live 7 years ago use the same tracks and tempo. Check out these tracks from the Dakota Bar. You can swap the audio files and everything would still line up. BUT, the main riffs and vocals are live. They do have some layered vocals, some backing guitar tracks and even some keyboard. I'd much rather have that than adding extra musicians. In the meantime, check out some of their acoustic stuff...
It sounds like you would enjoy some of their acoustic performances, if you're looking for a more stripped down sound. There are several on UA-cam. Check those out and enjoy.
They do use minimal backing tracks as needed while touring. I saw them perform these two songs in a small venue 2.5 years ago and they sound amazing. I'm confident she was singing live when I saw them play. I think the heavy filtering of her audio feed to suppress drum sounds would also suppress breathing sounds. I hope you have the opportunity to see them perform live soon!
You're still not sure these young ladies are the real deal are ya? Most bands are not this good Live. The Warning are very, very special.. I've stood in the front row a few times in small clubs. They're even better.. 🤘🎶
The opening song to a ‘rock opera’ album Queen of the Murder Scene. Written when they were barely in their teens. The bassist Ale gets major credit for Dust to Dust when she was just 11 or 12 years old. During the breakdown their manager Rudy Joffroy originally joined them on stage as a preacher dressed in black, delivering a sermon in Spanish. Rudy had difficulty keeping time with the band, so the sermon was a prerecorded background track later on. Here at the Pepsi Center, you can’t hear the track as it appears 8,000 fans are reciting the sermon themselves! Epic! If you want the raw version, Look for the Lunario CDMX 2018, a small venue, just them, with Rudy on stage. Look for Dust to Dust at the Whiskey A Go Go. Just kids being themselves. They have performed this open air on a cruise ship. Pau struggled in the earliest performance because of the high altitude, but has improved and gotten better with each performance.
Having seen them run a 500-seat club I can tell you that they sound exactly the same as they do here. The only difference is in the lighting. As far as I know, they only occasionally add some guitar and keys. I could be wrong, but I have never heard any vocals added in.
tons of what your asking to see out there, tons and tons, check out some at the cave, mtvpush, acoustics, radio promos, i actually like TW tracks they use, they toatally understand when and where
That is how they really sound! I've seen them play venues in capacities between 50 to 20,000 and they always sound amazing (thank you Lalo, their sound engineer). Very little, if any backing tracks going on, believe it or not.
They really sound like this. NO tracks on either of these songs. Dany's guitar goes stereo out to the FOH through her Kemper, that either side can have literally thousands of separate profiles. They can either be blended from there or spilt to either side of the house PA. Their sound engineer is a real pro and been with them for years. (Lalo Plaza) She also sends a 3rd dry signal to her cab on stage to monitor, with different amps depending the size of the room. She quite often uses an octave down profile for that full sound you hear and different overdrive settings when she needs them. When you get familiar with them you'll hear it and see her stomp on her octave profile. She also uses an expression pedal for pitch changes or wahh etc.... For their pure studio sound check out some of their Sirius Radio performances. I'll paste one example from this year down below. There's also many straight acoustic performances on YT. I'll post you some of the better ones if you want. Ale commonly uses a 300w svt Ampeg amp pushing an 8x10 Ampeg cab, although them being Orange sponsored, they both use Orange equipment on some of their higher profile shows. ua-cam.com/video/56UZOUFEVSs/v-deo.html
None of the technology is a crutch for this band. They love playing striped down to a real three piece as much as they like doing the overblown production thang.
Dude what are you even talking about? Everything you just heard was them. They are that good. They do have some backing tracks on certain songs to fill things out but it's always very minimal. The guitar you just heard was live. As well as the drums and Paulina singing while destroying them. As well as the goddess of thunder Ale on the bass. As far as not hearing Pau breathing when not singing, I would venture to say that that laptop to her left turns her mic off when it needs to be off. Do your research bro before you go jumping to conclusions.
Dude you have to go back to their early beginnings. Lunario, Dakota Bar, Whisky A Go Go and various other shows comes to mind when they were in their early teens without any of the modern day stuff and they killed it! Each and every time. They have an open invitation to The Whisky which we all know to be an iconic venue, which, says it all. Always a good thing to do research before reacting. Anyway thanks for taking the time to get into this amazing band. Do some back tracking on their journey and you will see what the majority of us have known for years. Trust me it will be worth your time and effort. ⚡️🔥
There are a few acoustic shows. The latest songs as well. They even wing-it at one with Pau on Keys and Dany on acoustic. When they did small venues when younger they still used tracks and Dany didn't have the Kemper giving her a wall of sound. To be serious, zero tracks and clicks aren't a thing for some time now. So, it's fair to be critical, but is it fair to require a standard that is no longer practiced? The tracks are their recordings and they strip it down pretty far. A little side note. In their first VMA rehearsal, they were the only act to nail their first run thrus. In and out, like true pro's. So, these women are the real live performers among todays performers. They were 12 to 17 y.o. opening for Def Leperd, if i recall correctly.
Everyone else will comment on how much of what your hearing is them (spoiler alert: it's mostly them and Pau, drummer, has worked very hard on breath control, singing while running treadmill). I think you will sort of get what you're asking for in the final request. 🤘⚡️
The Warning are the real deal Live and for someone with 3000 shows under your belt you were little taken back its true you did say it was good but then you double back and say you dont believe there able to do what you witnessed. I see some good artists on your list of accomplishments but the Warning have supported Artists like the Foo fighters , Muse, and Haestorm. So yes they are that good and it hurts you to believe so if you have any balls watchs them in a small venue not for 25 bucks or in this case 100 for 5 but as a so call Pro for nothing you asked and yes they are top tier.
Hey Justin - I’m pretty sure if you go back to my Warning requests a couple years ago, there’s no overtracking - maybe revisit them in light of this current newset and see what think…
I would like to know if you are like this with all artists...it seems like San Tomé...it is hard to believe in anything. There are thousands of live videos of them. Festivals, small shows, acoustic shows, live sessions on the radio...go listen to the cover of You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette and if even then, you still doubt her talent, I give up!
If you don’t believe it, there is hardly any other band that has that much material on their channel to prove. Just shut your mouth and watch it before making a fool of yourself.
OMG, you have no idea how talented they are! They started as kids, and Paulina even trains by running on a treadmill while singing to master playing the drums and controlling her breathing. They’re incredibly young-just 20, 22, and 24-and already so skilled.

I feel he doesn't believe they can acually play like that, they are videos of there acoustic versions or the small venues he would like to see
Justin mate there always playing in clubs they are the real deal better than many overated American bands anyway you will find out

My favorite 2 for 1. Check out Dull Knives in the Cave, they play in their basement studio, no tracks.
That's my favourite acoustic version of any song of all time
The Pepsi Center performance was their celebration of 10 years as a band.
These girls got "it" all of "it" 💥🤯💥 🌎✌️
There are plenty of videos out there for you to see and learn that they can do it all, including acoustic.
Don't quite understand why he keeps saying there's a more guitars play when Danny uses a a paddle board that splits and delays
Don't quite understand why he keeps saying there's a more guitars play when Danny uses a a paddle board that splits and delays
Seen them live twice. Thats how they sound. 350 in montreal and 600 in toronto
Just check their acoustic versions mate, it's not that hard to find. They have enough material if you are really interested in listening them for real
They did a version of Dull Knives that’s at least as explosive as this one …in their basement.
Hey Justin, there are alot of videos featuring them "stripped down" in small settings. They're very easy to find on UA-cam.
!!!GOODISM¡¡¡. The Warning = Alejandra (Ale) 🎸🎤+ Paulina (Pau) 🥁🎤+ Daniela (Dany) 🎤🎸 Villarreal Velez. Three talented Mexican sisters. !!!🎵ole ole ole oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Paulina is practicing singing while running on a treadmill, her stamina is up there
Having seen them run a 500-seat club I can tell you that they sound exactly the same as they do here.
There are tons of acoustic versions of The Warning on the internet.
(Lalo Plaza)
She also sends a 3rd dry signal to her cab on stage to monitor, with different amps depending the size of the room.

None of the technology is a crutch for this band. They love playing striped down to a real three piece as much as they like doing the overblown production thang.
You have every right to be skeptical but as you’ll see, they are the real deal. ⚡️🤘
They are UNIQUE!
Plenty of videos of them playing unplugged.
Stalker, from the same album, Queen of the Murder Scene

Dull Knives, Pau on piano with Dany singing lead
Ye the drummer shines both vocaly and drummly, if that's even a word 😅 she's the foundation and most experienced in the band for me.
Good point. Go go for Metallica's Atlas Rise in Whiskey a Go Go, and tiene we can talk.
Great reaction.... Your skeptic shows how good they are! It's unbelievable until you actually realize... This is how they play!
Yes. They sound like this live.
I've seen them live 9 times already. They are the real deal.
You want to know, go to a concert that's that easy xd
Yup if someone has doubts he should go and see them live in concert and he will see the error in his assessment of them.
Dude you have no idea . They are legit since 2013.
They can, and they have. Stripped down, acoustic. They rock. 🤘 Pau trains by running on a treadmill AND singing 😐. Who does that? ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Live is their super power
Everyone else will comment on how much of what your hearing is them (spoiler alert: it's mostly them and Pau, drummer, has worked very hard on breath control, singing while running treadmill). I think you will sort of get what you're asking for in the final request. 🤘⚡️
Those two song are when they were independent, that’s all them. The warning army will explain soon
No extra guitars man. Just them
Watch the live MTV production of Evolve. By the way, they have been playing together for over 10 years.
There is an acoustic version Dull Knives
Multiple, actually.
They have performed about 10 songs acoustically
There have been times playing live when tracks, including click, have failed with little or no effect on their performance.
Hey Justin - I’m pretty sure if you go back to my Warning requests a couple years ago, there’s no overtracking - maybe revisit them in light of this current newset and see what think…
We have been warned
amazing girls!!!!!!!!!!!
The Warning is the real deal 💯% pure 🔥🔥🔥&⚡⚡⚡
This live...lol. It's not a "show".
🧡🧡😎😎
If you don’t believe it, there is hardly any other band that has that much material on their channel to prove. Just shut your mouth and watch it before making a fool of yourself.
Do your research its easy and at your fingetips if you don't believe they are for real.
I🖤TW🤘
Plenty acoustic performances, small club performances out their , check their channel
