- Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan insists her government has learned “the really difficult lessons” from the October 2022 floods and says communities were prepared this time around.
The scale of destruction created by the disastrous floods going through northern and central Victoria is being revealed as flood waters start to recede.
The area is being surveyed and the damages assessed as residents begin to return to their properties.
Residents in Rochester, however, are still waiting for water to regress as they suffer their second major flooding in two years.
Meanwhile, warnings have been downgraded in Seymour and Yea.
