Both. I find them both excellent but Brotherhood is just slightly better imho

The faults of the other complement tbf. Original does some chracters better, the first half if much better paced, and the tone is much more consistent. But it breaks the rules of alchemy with the horrible alternate universe movie to compensate for the exchange. Brotherhood is much more rounded, better story, but the first part is indeed rushed and not as effective. Still, I love both. Best shonen to date, bar none.

Even tho the Brotherhood one is surely better, mostly talking about the universe, I have a sweet post for the first one. Like, there was so much more drama. And that's the first one I watched uwu Bts this opening is also my favorite one!! So much feelings. Still the best shounen, not matter the version.

FMA 2003 is underratwd because most people just eatch Brothehood, but I think that both have their strong and weak points.
Totally agree, and I have more nostalgia from the 2003 version
Watched 03, loved it. Watched Brotherhood, went in apprehensively since the opening episodes were different, absolutely loved it by the end. Went back to go watch 03 and never managed to finish it.
Best way to watch it is to go with the original FMA up until the Greed arc, then switch to brotherhood.
Glass Reflection’s video says it best. You should watch FMA 2003 first and if you don’t like it then just skip straight Brotherhood, don’t just discount it because of incorrect misconceptions

Back in November 2018 I was like "Damn, why there are no covers from FMA from 2003. It had so many great songs yet everyone's covering songs from FMA: Brotherhood" and now...I see THIS cover of my favourite opening from FMA...Damn, these little dreams come true. Also I loved this one japanese fragment of the chorus
I'm still finishing the 2003 version of the series. Netflix shouldn't have taken "Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa" off of their services. Because now I have to stream it on my computer at a time when my brother can watch and finish the 2003 version of the series with me. The movie is crucial for finishing FMA 2003.

I disagree. I think this is far below the quality of every other FMA song that I've ever heard, original or Brotherhood. To the extent that it completely threw me off when he accidentally put Brotherhood in there. I'm so used used to adoring every song that I found one that I didn't even like, and it was like somebody had syskeyed my pc. What is even happening?!

This is one of my favorite songs from the franchise in English as well in Spanish; you got me singing as well bringing precious memories when I was in my room imagining I was in Amestris where magic and steam punk were stuff from every day.
