Wow, 4 The Culture really knows how to capture the vibrant essence of Nairobi! From exploring luxurious apartments to attending the city's first Comic Con, this video is a testament to how diverse and exciting life in Nairobi can be. It's amazing to see the blend of modern living and creative culture come alive. Nairobi isn't just a hub for business; it's a space where art, innovation, and luxury intersect. Kudos to 4 The Culture for showcasing the city's dynamic vibe makes you want to pack your bags and experience it all firsthand!
I'm from the US, my girlfriend and I have stayed here on several occasions. Super modern, nice accomdations. Beautiful landscaping with lots of green spaces.
You could also check out apartments in the Ruaka area which is in the suburbs but not too far from town. The road network is much more better than what I have seen in this video.
you seem to be an experienced content creators. you realy know how to take it cool and easy, while capturing what people want to see. wow!👌🏽 awesome piece👏🏽 keep up with the good staff.. we need more of such. we are with u
I always advice visitors to avoid Boda Bodas. I am a local and never use them for safety and security reasons. Stats are out there for anyone who wants to argue.
The Tree Apartments are really very beautiful! A view of the nairobi national park is a great plus! Hope its affordable and you are able to settle for it as your choice. Welcome to Nairobi!
Hello Dear!!!! Your video was amazing and I enjoyed it all the way through but I am here to comment that I have never heard of showing fee so don’t get GOT next time. I grew up in kenya and I visit every year now. Hearing about showing fee is a first. ❤❤❤ sending you much love
Thanks for the support, well i cant speak for them but what i can say is that, your location to the apartments could be a factor and for that reason(s) you would need means of transportation and that is what he explain as the viewing fees.
@ yeah makes sense!! I wonder if it would have made a difference if you had met him at the apartment complex and he didn’t have to transport you there? Realtors do get a good sum once you rent the apartment but this is definitely first time hearing about this fee. Please share your experiences once you start showing us other apartments and houses once you settle down. Looking forward to your other contents and please take us along for the furnishings of your home.
My sista while there in Kenya, you should start asking them literally everything you can before you conduct any busines out there. From the boda bodas to literally all of the other things I have witnessed that caught you by surpise. I know I will be. Thanks for sharing your channel. Peace and Love from Oakland, Ca 👊🏿💯✈️
Please show houses as well for those who do not want to live in an apartment. You did an excellent job with showing the apartments. Do it as a business.
Wish the machakos county govt would take those estate roads seriously. The vertical development in Syokimau is years ahead of the horizontal infrastructure.
Before 1963, during colonial times, black Africans were not allowed to live in cities, except men who worked for the government, and they could only live in bachelor or single quarters in Eastlands . Eastlands was the only place black people could live in Nairobi, and couldn't bring wives. In European areas of the city, they kept black servants such as cooks (males were referred to as "kitchen Toto's",- Barack Obama's granddad became one after he left the British Army) (toto means big baby), gardeners etc. And because Africans were not allowed to walk in the city without passbooks (were called "kipande", and were a piece of metal hang on the neck with personal details, native reserve, work permit and residents permit for Nairobi/town enclosed), the white home owners had to construct "servant's quarters" for their workers. Due to tradition and the building code having servant's quarters, they kind of stuck to date.
Hi there! Nice stumble upon your channel. Will watch the older videos. I felt you needed more time to explain the "house-help" / "domestic manager" culture better. Maybe you may make a whole vide next time interviewing real people about it. I know for people in the USA or other cultures it may seem ridiculous, so some clarity may be needed to help people from other cultures to understand. And, to be politically correct we now say "Staff Quarters" not "servant quarters" for DSQ i.e Detached Staff Quarters :-)
Am a kenyan and i have paid before to agents just to be shown an apartment..its normal although there are some who will not charge you but its the norm so she wasn't scammed
Be careful with some Kenyans....some want to prey on foreigners cash coz they know you are new especially when they hear you have an accent since that is what will mainly show them you are a foreigner
I just love to see our melanin sisters having fun in Kenya. Karibu nyumbani beautiful one and enjoy to the max.
Asante sana
hope the county and government will start fixing the roads around the estates in Nairobi soon as promised

Yeah for sure that's what I like about her ,she's very patient and accommodative.
Thanks, I really appreciate your support!

Me neither, those things scare me to the core, can't stand them!
Thanks for the advise noted
Use online bodaboda

That view is perfect. all you need is binoculars. i wonder how often a train passes by though, with the train tracks so close to the apartment.
I’ll have to ask the owner, I wasn’t paying attention to that!
Please show houses as well for those who do not want to live in an apartment. You did an excellent job with showing the apartments. Do it as a business.
I will work on that. Thanks for watching!
It’s so sad that our government is not taking road maintenance seriously
They are keeping it authentic, they are trying to keep it as natural as possible 😉
@ bruh

Interesting and sad
This is interesting. I didn't know toto had such a bad reputation, especially for men. I mean why would anyone call a big man toto?
Quite interesting and info… sad tho.
Thank you, my sister. I will be in Kenya 2025 if it's the LORD'S will. 🙏👑🥰💪
you welcome sister
My home town Syokimau 😊😊😊
You and the Kenyan brotha in the blue & yellow jacket look like you could be related.💯
Cool place to stay
Yes indeed
That might work for our adult children.
Nicd apartment there ,please avoids boda it risky .. it better to use uber
Showing fee is essential so that he or she is covered in case you don't pick any of the apartments they show you.
Girl come to South Africa we don't charge people just to see apartments
btw syokimau is not in nairobi its in machakos
Nairobi Cosmopolitan ‼️🙏

This place was " Hell" few months ago during long rain season. People lost everything.

At least you still gave him a chance to show you the apartments even though he didn’t have a car.
He doesn't need a car.
@ He needs a car 🚗 to show people places in comfort. It would be better for his business and would attract more customers.
Hi there, what are the guys social media details?
its in the video
Are single black females safe there if we want to buy land/property?
Technically most women there are black since it's Africa so maybe specify single American women 😂
You got scammed, how can you get charged to be shown an apartment? You'll learn with time
It’s common but I think it’s a new practice
Am a kenyan and i have paid before to agents just to be shown an apartment..its normal although there are some who will not charge you but its the norm so she wasn't scammed
@@trvkim9435 it’s the norm these days
No she wasn't scammed. Infact she was charged a very small amount. Am Kenyan and back in 2015 I paid more than that.
