It's an interesting tutorial but it would be more helpful if you explained why you choose each step rather than just narrating what the steps are. Like why the blur, why that particular amount of blur, why two copies of the text instead of one or three, how you decided on this particular color for a color dodge, what makes that a better option than other effects, etc.
Great tutorial. But I'd like to know how you come up with those px/%/color values, and which of them is/are important. It is not very helpful to align the items just by entering x y values. Do you align them by tools or merely by your designer's eyes? It may be a good idea if we see you do the task like the first time, solving each of the problems, adjusting the effect step by step and explaining it.
