4020 what's my favorite tractor on the farm many many round bales and lots of silage hauling but I didn't have a cab what a beauty

Lots of options on this. Triple SCVs, Long Axles, Heavy Cast rear centers, RollGuard Cab and of course the Hydraulic Front Wheel Assist. Curious if it was ordered as shown.
If I had to guess I’d say no. Most likely anybody that needed that much beef would’ve bought a bigger tractor/ more horsepower.
@@oe542 In 1971, there were only 3 bigger Row Crop tractors available from Deere. My guess is since it over restored (note anything cast is smooth) likely not. This would be more of a Western Farm Show or Ag Expo style optioned tractor. No doubt some were this heavily optioned but they were few. 4020s were still a much sought after sized tractor in 1971.
It was ordered as shown except... It had 18.4-38 cast center duals. The third owner sold them off in the 90s. Also it didn't originally have a quick hitch or a stack of slab weights.
Original owner ordered it for his wife to cultivate corn, a/c to keep her comfortable and hfwa to keep her from getting stuck.
