In this video I do some repairs to the air filter on my Quota 1000 and then I free off the throttle body mechanism in order to get a reasonable idle speed.
Interested in your observations about K&N air filters. They’re always promoted as better than stock. Might have to have a gander inside my R75/5 airbox now as I haven’t been in there for a couple of years. There’s a K&N in there
My personal experience of having used K&Ns is that they are not effective at preventing dust from entering the engine. When I had one on a trip to Morocco many years ago I discovered a layer of dust particles in the tubes from the filter to the carburettors when servicing the bike after my return.
