I don't think most people realize how important the drum section is to making this song so great. If you haven't already, listen again but shift your attention to the drums. This guy is a wizard with his work on the high hats and cymbals

To be honest with you, His voice is as real as i am listening to the original one. He does not need any instruments to boost his voice level damm he is so good. Stay blessed incubus
morning view came out when i was 14, a freshman in high school. today i am 33. I know it sounds cliche, but those were legit better times to be a kid and i feel blessed to have grown up in this era. Incubus, and good art in general reminds us to follow our intuition and be true to ourselves. When you follow your own truths in this world, eventually you will create your own art of some kind, and a leave a mark as beautiful as these guys did. Thats the reason music sucks today, because humanity in large has been programmed through the excessive social media and technology, that we dare to think outside the box. Thats why i love art, its a way for the soul to break its boundaries and draw out the hidden treasures inside of us.
I completely agree with you! I have been listening to Incubus since I was a baby. I'm 15 right now, and they are all I listen too. Music these days and what kids my age listen too is so self absorbed and just so trashy. I am so thankful that this band exists. This is the band that makes me feel like a real person. Not someone who is trying to be like everyone else, listening to the same crap music, but actually enjoying actual instruments and amazing vocals. I wish more kids my aged actually appreciated this music like you and I do. :)

My favorite part of this song is José Pasillas' cymbal work under the 'pass you by' lyric. Too bad the camera didn't show it happening, not once.
