I like the idea of the screened inner cover. Double screen dividers are also useful as screened covers for ventilation and confining bees when necessary.
I appreciate the detailed descriptions and photos of each piece of equipment.
Thanks for making this video. When most folks hear screen inner cover they are only thinking it is for ventilation. 👍
Glad it helped
I🥰screened inner-covers, they are part of my long-term hive set up. Thanks Jason, Blessed Days...
Right on!
I use the reflectex as my inner cover. Great video.
We use that on some of our hives also. It’s a great option
I noticed the propolis on my screened inner covers but never thought of it as a propolis trap! Very interesting
👍
We sometimes use a little heat and the propolis just melts right off any screens we have.
Nice video bud. Love seeing your channel continue to grow. Keep up the great work Jason!!
Thanks you also. Appreciate the support
Another great information video.
Jason good to see you at the DBA meeting
I enjoyed it. Trying to support where I can. These bees keep me busy.
Interesting...
What size is that hardware cloth?
#8 hardware cloth.
@@BohemiaBees Thanks Jason!
So if they propolis the screen it's because they don't want that open I will think. If it's propolise u won't be able to see the bees when taking cover off.
Great point but this one is a very extreme example. We left it on the same hive for 2-3 years and never cleared it. So it built up. Typically they only put 20-30% propolis or around rim. But technically you would be right in that they are always building that propolis envelope around their nest. On all sides.
I just saw that I was unsubscribed from your channel. This seems to happen to several channels lately.
Glad you are back !!
