Thanks!! :) It's pretty fun!! You should checkout the entrance to my workshop video. I have a star wars blast door with fingerprint scanner to get in :) ua-cam.com/video/pk6h0qT3EgE/v-deo.html
I get demonstrating on your own product, but could you maybe do a video using foam those of us on a budget would be able to get? Like craft foam and floor mats?
Yes :) all these same techniques and principles apply to Eva foams across the board including craft foams from the craft store, or foam floor mats, and some yoga mats ( depending on what they are made of, some work some don't:) . The same principles apply :) I will try and get some floor mat ones to use and display as well :)
Hey, I have a question: I'm using regular eva foam (5mm in this case) but after the heating and shaping the foam doesn't hold the shape it should be, it's still very flexible and i can shape it back to it's basic form like nothing happended, so do you need special types of foam for shaping or does it work with regular foam?
YES!!! YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES! Is the complex curve what we do for forming over the breast for a better fit? Also what do you recommend for breast plate 4mm or higher?
Yes, complex curves work great for breastplates, sometimes in addition to the complex curves you may need even more curve in a breast plate beyond what you can get in the foam and you may need to add a dart. :). If you are using WTF I recommend 4mm. For regular high density cosplay foam I would probably do a 6mm. or 10mm
I'm Maki.g mega man Zero's helmet in Eva... there's no full tutorial and I'm a complete newb when it come to foam... so yeah, that's my greatest challenge right here... and yes, I did use hot glue in some places, most of it is already glued into place and... want to give it some smoother curves. help/
Wow, you might as well hang up all your product placement ads on the background. I have never seen a you tuber who mentioned the name of a product as much as you do, and I'm a 54 yr old retired engineer who spends way to much time on you tube. You're clearly making videos for the money and products since i have watched 15 foam videos today and not one mentioned the foam name let alone 40 times, also noticed on the Amazon foam page there you are in the pictures. You spent so much time on products you really gave no information, for sure no new information on foam working. 39k subscribers but 248 likes on this video in 3 years, i guess others see what i do.
Haha :) thanks for the feedback. :). The reason I am on the listing on Amazon is because that foam I mention a bunch is a product we developed. We took our experience with other foams and got a lot of feedback from other leaders in the industry as well as a ton of cosplayers and crafters and set out to make the best possible foam for cosplay we could. :). I mention it so much because I truly love working with it and it checks so many boxes for anyone crafting with Eva foam that I want to tell others about it. :). I have done I think 2 sponsored videos in my entire 7yrs on UA-cam as I will only show and share things I think are really good. My channel started based on sharing what I had learned about different materials and products for cosplay and I constantly try to shed light on and share what I learn and products I find that I like. :) Haha, I probably said the name of the foam way more than I needed to because we had just started coming out with the foam and this was a set of videos I was trying to film on the fly and hadn’t scripted them in an effort to get more content out, which people were asking for, and I probably rambled a bit. :) Sorry if it was off-putting l, that was not my intention at all. I hope you give some of my other videos a chance and don’t judge the book by this cover :). We are a team of 3 trying to make this content, I make literally $0 off my channel or the products myself, it all goes back into paying for more production of the products, business expenses, and paying our editor who is one of the 3 on our team, he is the only one that makes some money off the channel and it is not much. :). Thanks again for the feedback I am always looking to improve my channel, I have been trying to create higher production value content that is planned out more and teaches the info better :) Thabks for watching, and I hope you have a great weekend :)
STFU boomer, I need to know what products he used, he totally provided a tutorial and making money out of videos is ok. Please stay away from the internet.
This is the first vid of yours I have watched and I just want to say I love your workstation. Def taking notes.
