Designer here! I love your living room setup and how cozy it feels. If you need more storage, I suggest placing a buffet on both sides of the fireplace and either floating shelves above, or mirrors. If you don’t need storage, I suggest hanging two large mirrors on both sides of the fireplace, an arched option would soften up the space. Adding mirrors is going to reflect the natural light that you get and make it feel even bigger. And then you don’t have to move your tree :) ps love your vlogs and congratulations 👶🏻

Going to a chiropractor that specializes in Webster technique is SUPER helpful with low back and sciatic pain specifically for pregnant woman. It makes such a difference for so many moms!!
Yes this!!! Go to a chiro that really specializes in pregnancy and also postpartum. I had insaaaaane sciatic pain from the day I found out until like 22ish weeks and now my pain is very minimal. Highly recommend!

Maybe a book shelf that is half open and half doors then you can hide what you don’t want as well as space to display photos and actual books. Or a buffet and then floating shelves above, possibly even glass shelving. Keeps the illusion of open space but gives storage. Or similar shelves to the kitchen then it mirrors that open area. And I’m a longer the better drape the better girl, however when your little one starts pulling up, you’ll need to be able to block them or keep them up. It’s all looking great. Cute shower dress!
I have a toddler and almost 1 year old babe and I definitely vote for a closed in storage option! We have an open bookshelf and it can be an eyesore with all the toys so for now have baskets on the bottom shelf..but the dream is some type of closed armoire to hide toys, arts & crafts ect. !!

Chiropractic can help with the sciatica nerve pain took mine right away when I was pregnant, they can also help turn a breeched baby naturally if that is an issue.
You’ll want that space when baby gets here for a downstairs pack n play or bouncer. Just leave it for now and wait until baby is a little older. Put baby items in a cute basket for now

Next time, use a straw to do the glucose test. It makes it way easier to get that drink down.
I would do open shelves so its not closing the room in, same colour as walls or even try to match the beams colour. Keep well great vlog.
As a mom of little ones, you can never have enough storage especially if you don’t want their toys out everywhere! It may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, but definitely think putting something there to hold. Toys would be super helpful!
birks are known for being super supportive especially when pregnant! they form to your feet and will give you the support you need
Try some hip flexor work too! I have these issues with sciatica and hip flexors/ lower back/ posture and I have rods in my back, recognizing the strain on my hip flexors has changed my life! ❤
I am curious, why was your glucose drink clear and not orange and why were you allowed to do that in the car? Typically you sit in the office and wait it out…

I love your new living room. I think your room looks great but a shelf would be too much I feel. Maybe a nice big basket so you can put blankets and then when baby arrives its big and you can store his toys. Only my opinion.

Definitely do a tall cabinet on that side wall next to the fireplace! You could go either way on color but if you do one to match the beams, add dark hardware

I had the same sciatic nerve pain toward the end of pregnancy as well. It was painful, but did go away after delivery.
Also, your pregnant belly looks so perfect and flawless ~ I was also lucky enough to have very elastic skin and not get any stretch marks with all 4 pregnancies

I would look for something on the smaller side for baby stuff, I have the ikea rolling cart and it perfectly holds diapers, wipes, and a few toys for my 15m old. I love that it’s smaller so it kind of tucks away and doesn’t make the living room feel cluttered. When they’re infants you’re going to have more big bulky things (baby chairs, playmats etc…) so I’d use that nook to put those things.
LOVE the coffee table! In that space I would definitely pull the wood tones...so bookcase that's in a arch form to not have so many harsh edges with the fireplace and tv beside it. Or a modern blanket ladder that's wood. 😍 And girrrl, I've dealt with sciatic for years hard surgery and it's the worst! Yours should subside for sure. Love your vlogs girl and the house looks incredible!❤ Oh and Aaron...he's the flipping best!

I had lemon lime and it kind of tasted like Gatorade! I’ve heard fruit punch is rough. Fingers crossed you passed! I failed my 1 and 3 hour tests this week, and was officially diagnosed. On to finger pricking for the next 10 weeks 😭

Love the cabinet idea of the left of the fireplace! I’d personally do more of a buffet with a shelf above or a mirror above, doesn’t cover the wall as much as still gives some storage! And definitely darker.
I think an antique chest (with drawers and/or cabinets) would look gorgeous. You can put a piece of vertical art or a mirror (a brass one would be gorgeous) over it, either hanging on the wall or resting on top of the chest. Or, if your landlord allows I would install open shelving and do more of a *built-in* look. Not as renter friendly but would be gorgeous! I think having something break up the space while still being functional would be great for your living room. ❤️

Definitely short rods length of single windows, and ceiling track for sliding doors and same wood tone as beams for any other wood elements brought in the living room space
Maybe you should do a double rod curtain over the slider with sheers behind and then a thicker linen material over top so it has a cozy look without having to do the track along the whole wall?
