In this interview He mentioned Lou Hudson alot of people never heard of him but what a great player he was. Also he mentioned Elvin Hayes and Pete Marovich, what a era of great basketball players this was
Pete Maravich was ahead of his time. If he played in NY. or LA. Or if there was Cable t.v. people would see what a good player he was.
That kid could make a good GM one day
THE ( LOGO ) IS FIRST CLASS !!!!!!!! WEST ( BY GOD ) VIRGINIA !!!!!!!!!!!!
I like how he starts talking about players that will hit the 20,000 point mark and says Lew Alcindor will surely do it, that’s Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s name before he changed it in the fall of 1971. The man said he’ll surely do it then Kareem went and nearly doubled it.
That interview was in 1971, as Jerry scored that long 3/4 court shot vs the Knicks in 1970.
Oscar & Jerry were so far ahead of the guards back in the day.
They really were. Not til Magic, then Mike were there truly any competitor's. All respect due to Bing, Frazier and Maravich. Oscar and Jerry were the head of the class.
That's how you speak english not like today's player
And thats how you speak racist. Just like yesterday’s racist
@@mattis-me7780 Says a racist. Just like today's racist.
Jerry West would really despise you
Player singular? Today's player? 😂Talking about 'how you speak' hahaha
@@mattis-me7780I find it admirable for you to speak a language and have others who speak it comprehend what you said. Sorry you don’t. That’s just weird.

Red s in B
No tattoos and actually speaks English. I wonder what was wrong with Jerry.
Two of the greatest white players
Bird
@@7505hynz McHale Nowitski Stockton plenty more
Pete yes but overrated West no, West ball handling skills were that of a first grader
@@TimSpangler-rd6vs Two of the greatest players period.
@@rickgora2952 You don't comprehend the dribbling rules enforced at that time.
Pete was in a class by himself, West wasn’t even close to Pete
That's just crazy...and I love Pete
Even West admitted he wasn’t a good ball handler, he was lucky to be on such a great team his entire career, again Pete could of played in any era and West would of been a fine bench warmer
@@rickgora2952 DUMMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You seem to have a weird axe to grind on this topic. Even if you were right about West's talent, what is the value of posting negative comments about a guy who retired as a player 50 years ago?
West voted for Biden and supported the racist criminal BLM movement etc etc, need I say more to all you sheep cowards that give people like West a pass
