Just ordered mine... A little clarification...a 1SS is a base model SS...not as much luxury trim as a 2SS...but this is why a 1SS with a 1LE track pack is desirable...lighter weight...coupled with a manual only (tremec t56...same trans as a gt350 not a standard gt) and beefed up suspension...not to mention forged aluminum wheels...sticky tires...6 piston brembos with true 2 peice rotors...aero...reprogrammed mag ride...recaro seats...higher capacity cooling. this makes it a true drivers car. Video and pics dont do this car justice...seeing it in person is significantly different.
I went yesterday to the Chevy dealer looking at Corvette ZR1, Corvette ZO6, Camaro ZL1 and Camaro SS I think the Camaro SS 1LE is a sexy and affordable car. The white with black trim is the best. The Camaro ZL1 is a hot ride. When I sat inside the Camaro ZL1 I could not see my surroundings in a good 360 so you have to keep a good look at cars you past and cars coming up from behind you to keep you aware of your environment. Also at the traffic lights and shopping malls you need to be aware of children and people when you first get in your car. It is easy to be overwhelmed of the car and forget about your surroundings. I love Koon’s Chevy I can maintain the Camaro and be a good driver from my truck driving skills. I love the Camaro ZL1 on the showroom. Just be aware of your surroundings there are a lot of blinds spots and you could be distracted inside and forget about outside when pulling off or changing lanes. Keep your side mirrors pointed at your rear tires and the whole side down of the car. Then you have to keep focus on what you come up on. Don’t stay next to a car on the highway either pass or fall back. The Camaro is the best Truck Driver car on the market to me. However, the Corvette has better visibility and it sits lower. The Corvette ZL1 hood scoop can block your right side if you like to lean back in your seat while driving. If money isn’t an Issue I choose the Corvette Z06 Manual or Corvette ZL1 first. If you go to the dealer and want a vehicle to be in your driveway within 36 hours and sporty I say Camaro ZL1. If you are making $45,000 or less and want a two seater type of vehicle with 8 cylinder muscle sound. Camaro SS 1LE is the best move you can make. Chevy is the best looking America Muscles car line up to me. See you next week Koon’s Chevy. I like the Camaro SS 1LE White With Black Trim. If I could upgrade then the ZL1 and the Corvette.
I am buying one of these for the value and the sum of its parts. The chassis, handling, balance, weight, engine, transmission, stance - a lot of people won't see those things because its a camaro. Think of it more like a competition spec BMW 4-series with a 455hp V8 and a stick. When GM made the alpha platform they benchmarked the e46.

I haven't had any issues except with the transmission's programming, which they've fixed. So don't like don't buy and if it breaks I have an extended warranty.
They changed up the front bumper. They made it the same color as the body and they put the Chevy badge back to where it was before, and I think those models will be released late 2019 or early 2020

They are awesome cars I bought one because it was such a beast on the street and still nice to drive. It has some bad sight lines that turn people off get over it, the power is savage and it’s really good on fuel if you’re just cruising.
The price is 42,587 which is a steal. I say this, because a lot of us do not work at GM. I love Mustang, but if I were looking to buy brand new, my choice would be Camaro, because of the tick and shift problems of the manuals in Mustangs. The SS 1LE of my choice would have to be black. That dealership does have a gray SS 1LE which does look damn good as well!

Looks cool but you can get a 2019 2SS 1LE with auto for $49k and just looked on the Chevy site and it says you can get an auto on that 1ss 1LE for $45k so your salesman is lying to you trying to get you to buy that in manual. If I was going to buy a new one it would be the ZL1
I have a 2019 1le and its unreal with the rev match and 6 speed. Probably the best value for fun factor got it in December so I only have 1100 km on it. Let's just say it wont disappoint even in 5th it wants to keep pulling.

Yes, the PP2 is prettier by far butttttttt. It's not as reliable as the SS 1LE, the suspension is tried and proven and better than the PP2, it's a tenth of a second faster than the PP2 in the quarter mile. It's faster than the Mustang 0-60. Its also faster around the track. It's also priced much better. The manual tranny I shifts much better and more reliable than the PP2. The engine does not tick on the Camaro... However, the Mustang just looks and sounds better.. ...

Mr DJAY My Dad got one I learned how to drive on it. It’s basically a race car but you get used to it though. The blind spots are bad but all you gotta do is use your mirrors. But the main thing is that it corners better than most BMWs and Porsche’s by far the best and most fun car to drive. Yeah I’m getting a C5 corvette for my first car it’s going to be way different than what I’m used too.

As you saw this is a manual and it’s very hard to launch fast. It is however a Track monster. A better competitor would be the BMW M4
