    Great video - helped me tremendously today replacing the same mounts. I didn’t do it in 5 mins (more like 20) but it’s done and no more rattle and shake.

    Just finished doing this on my xc60. This video definitely made the job less intimidating. Despite putting a jack and wood under the oil pan the engine still shifted quite a bit when I unbolted the top bracket. Somehow managed to put it all back together. Not too bad of a job but my Makita electric impact wasnt strong enough to undo those bolts, needed a breaker bar.

    Thank you I just did exactly what you do on the video and the noise is gone but tomorrow or Tuesday is going to be a better weather I will replace the other ones since it will still give more weigh on the new engine mount , just make note you need to have a jack under the engine so can able to install the new mount , thanks for your video no one else have a video from a 2008 Volvo and up !

    That was bloody fast man!!! Thanks for the video. Do you happen to have a video for removing the fuel rail and injectors? Do I have to remove the mount completely or is it enough just to loosen the bolts and lower the engine so I can remove the rail? Sorry for the off topic.

      @@steliandragomir6815 yes u can but if i was u removing the mount out of the way is best . Long as u put a piece of wood in between your jack and oil pan u should be ok . Thanks for the video. I just bought this model as basic daily driver. I only have vibrations when the AC is running but I do get a popping noise when accelerating from a stop or turning. Could it be the mounts here?

    • @zechariahlemmon8227
      @zechariahlemmon8227  4 роки тому +3

      I would look to see how low that mount is sitting . If it's hitting the body u might get some noise differently would get vibration from the body of the car if the mount its supporting the weight

  • @daveb6239

    I'm considering just buying aftermarket replacements for these two mounts instead of OEM as they are about 1/3 of the price. Do you think it makes a huge difference to get OEM? I will probably only drive the car about 30-40k miles over the next 3-4 years.

      These two upper mounts causes noise and vibrations the mount that sit under the upper torque mount and bracket collapses and then it sits low which causes the noise when you brake or at idle

  • @joshuablatt22

    So just to be clear, you have to support the engine underneath with a jack before doing this correct? Is there a particular part of the engine you should out the jack on? Do you need only one jack?

    • @zechariahlemmon8227
      @zechariahlemmon8227  6 років тому

      Yes u have to use a jack stand with a piece of wood or u car just use a jack.

      There is a torque for them but most of use just run them down tight. With a 1/4 turn

    Hey, I was wondering about this problem I have on my 2012 Volvo XC60 T6 R-design, when shifting gears, there is a kick. I am not sure if it is a transmission problem or an engine mount needed to be replaced? Mind getting some feedback or help?

      Zechariah Lemmon I have a Volvo XC60 with a 3.2. I had to add almost 1 quart of oil after 1500 miles. The engine has 150,000 miles on it. There is no evidence of a leak. What causes this and is there a solution?
