According to a biography (Yul's or Steve"s?) they did get along at some point during the original movie. Yul kept asking Steve about movies & roles that they could do well in to the 70s.

Didn't know Steve @ Yul didn't get along liked them both like hearing Me Fuller talk i some people voice is so irritating but his is fantastic and the stories he tells are interesting love him for educating me about some of the stuff that goes on in Hollywood
