Strawberry Buttercream Recipe:
1/4-1/2 Cup of Strawberry Puree (fresh or frozen strawberries can be used!)
2 cups butter (I like to use salted :))
6-8 cups powdered/icing sugar
If using freeze dried strawberries, how much would you add?
This looks yummy! Definitely going to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
I make this quite frequently, with freeze dried strawberries. It's my favorite frosting! I also love to add lemon juice for a strawberry lemonade taste. I love the idea of adding a tea taste and will try that as well!🙃
It looks so good!
Thanks for sharing. It looks really good
Love this! I often get 'stale' with different icing ideas! Can't wait to try this and adding tea which I'd forgotten I wanted to try!
Yummy!😋😋 I should make flavored buttercreams they seem sooo good
I am going to give this a try on Friday when I make my birthday cake.
Looks so yummy 😋 😋😋🤤🤤🤤
Sending love from South Texas! Love your videos!
I’m from Texas too!🤩 (but east Texas)😂
@@morgs4658 Hi neighbor!!
That looks so delicious. I have fresh strawberries 🍓 on hand now. So cleaning them and cutting the green top off then putting them in the blender is fine? No extra steps? And do you put in any other flavoring? Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
looks good! do you do other types of buttercream? how do you flavour them?
Please share your vanilla cake and cupcake recipe with us
The recipe states, 2 cups butter which is 1 pound and 8 cups of powdered sugar.
Great recipe!! Thank you.
Do you use a sponge cake recipe for cakes. I have used box or home baked recipes. I want to try one of your cake’s. Thanks 🇨🇦💕
I’m trying this now, how long can this sit at room temp? 💕
Making white chocolate icing, would it be possible to replace the purée as melted white chocolate as the liquid?
how can i color my frosting? is it easy to do?
Any chance you could use grams as well as cups as I can't figure out the cups. Thanks
Probably a dumb question but, is it possible to over whip the frosting? (I went to culinary school and learned about frosting but I'm not a cake baker, I'm more of a cookie/bar/pie maker so the phrase "use it or lose it " applies here)
How many cupcakes can you cover with this recipe? Thank you
And please share the measurements with us too
I don’t particularly care for buttercream frosting since I taste nothing but butter. This could make the difference.
American buttercream sickly sweet. I prefer a stabilized whipped cream frosting, or something less sweet than American Buttercream such as the European style buttercreams.
Anther great way is to use dehydrated strawberries and condensed milk and a tiny bit of cream cheese. Muuuuuuuuuch more smooth and creamy
Please elaborate?!!
@@cherylcabral4 just run the dried strawberries through a food processor until it turns to dust, whip some room temp butter and a bit of room temp cream cheese (about 25% of the block) together, then combine the dried strawberry "dust" into the condensed milk (some use whole can but do it to your taste) and a bit of salt (if using unsalted butter) and slowly beat the condensed milk/strawberry mixture into your butter mixture. If you like, you can also add some strawberry puree to the condensed milk mixture just be VERY mindful of the moisture. I made this for my husband when we first started dating and he said that he knew then that he wanted to marry me 🤣
@@bothpartiesaretotaldogsht5750 Are you talking about sweetened condensed milk, or just condensed milk?
@@debbielockhart7762 sweetened condensed but non sweetened and honey or toasted sugar also make a FANTASTIC combo as well! Just have to watch the liquid ratio but you and always simply add more butter
@@cherylcabral4 oh! And add a bit of dried cranberries (like Craz-ines) to your strawberries mixture! It adds a lot of body to the strawberry flavor and keeps it from tasting flat or overly sweet
