I wish this would have happened. Don't get me wrong, I'm not really against InuKag, but it would have been better with SessKag since it would have been a surprise. People knew since the first episode that InuKag WILL happen, but I hated that because Inuyasha clearly loved Kikyo and sometimes it looks like Inuyasha only loved Kagome since she resembled his lost love, and if Kikyo ever returned to life with a real body with warmth and flesh, he would have chosen her without a second thought. SessKag had potential and still has because Sesshoumaru clearly hated humans but came to accept them making SessKag an interesting but still believable couple. .. i'll stop ranting now xD and keep dreaming! i love this video, this song and this pairing! Thank you :D
That's why the final act bugged me so much cause it felt like ONLY because Kikyo died, Inuyasha picked Kagome like he sort of had no choice. I would have liked to see more times where he left Kikyo for Kagome other than that one time. For me, I like the idea of sess/kag because they contrast one another whereas inu/kag they just happen to be alike in character.
well you know the anime most of the time goes like the manga but sometimes not just like in trinity blood or rave master the anime is a bit diffrent than the mangas since they changed a little things
but i agree i mean sessho saved her many times just like inuyasha did in the anime since he changed for rin a bit like a daddaughter relationship and inuyasha tried to kill her too in the first episode it would have be possible but he had moments with kagura too but she did kagura had feelings for sessho she hated naraku and wanted her freedom
He had the potential to be her 'mate'. He was softening up due to Rin and even began to accept her after she had saved Rin's life. He protected her and Rin on more than a couple occasions. She would have been a great mother figure to Rin, and if she and Sesshomaru had gotten together I don't see him denying her Shippou. It would have been a cute family. I have to say I am a strong disliker of the Inu/Kag pairing. I also see Rin being more of a child to him than a future mate. It would just be weird to have them get together later on in life... it's weird.

For a sesskag plotline there would have been more plot and intrigue, I agree it would have won many hearts. Who or what is Kagome she seems to affect both Inu boys yet it seems she knows more than she lets on. She also knows sword skills if you watch closely she hates swords with a passion. She may not be kikyou's reincarnation, since kikyou hated her with a vengence. It was jealousy, the other priestesses I know of are Hitomiko and Midoriko, another hint her spirtitual powers are the same as Midoriko.
