I used to believe Sesshomaru is a true villain at first, but as his family relationship/big brother responsibility with Inuyasha and even relationships with humans (Inuyasha's companions, Rin) progressed, I've realized he has the best development arc not to mention he sometimes save Inuyasha's companion and fated to fight alongside Inuyasha against their greatest enemies (Panther King, So'unga, Shishinki, Magatsuhi, Naraku 3x, Grim Comet). He's maybe so too prideful to show his true caring heart nor to put it in words himself, but his actions proves he actually cares. He's always been my anime crush.
He's also looking out for Moroha (alongside his twin daughters) in behalf of her parents. It's all part of Sesshomaru's big brain plan. He's basically holding the reins of the Sequel's plot.
2021 and my soul still cries, Rin was such a caring girl and when she died it felt so bad and when Sesshomaru revived her I was so happy at him for reviving her but also bit angry at Sesshomaru for not preventing her death.
I once performed this song in college. It was the first time I had performed a Japanese song and I remember how proud my mom was that day when she came to watch me sing. I also lost my mom in 2021, on October 18th just before her birthday, which would have been on the 21st. This song often makes me think of her and you have my deepest condolences for the loss of your mom too. Even after two years it's still a tough loss to deal with. Now at 2024 i seeing this scene again + the music, ohh the nostalgia.
