  • Alrighty, been searching around for a good video tutorial on how to make a decent cheap foam machine, couldn't find one. So i decided to make my own.
    Uhh.. Sorry for all the sniffling and stuff, i have really bad allergies and i had to mow my grandma's grass just before this... -_-
    If you have any questions, or suggestions on how to make this better... Post a comment or send me a message. Thanks! :)
    This song is Hilltop Hoods - Nosebleed Section
    I do not claim this song. I took no part in its composition.

    It makes a difference to the strength and insulation value of the air-Crete, how much foam and how much water are used. If goal is structural strength, need less foam, less water. If goal is insulating, more foam. About 2 cups Dawn dish soap per 5 gallons of water, spun to a thick foam that has lots of body, is proportion that goes with about a 92pound sack of Portland slurries in about 6 gallons of water. The reason for using Dawn dish soap, is because it forms far better foam (stronger, thicker) than most other soaps.

    @SirjuShinelle actually, i found that any sort of blowing device works, leaf blowers, things like that. just don't let the water get into it or you will be electrocuted.

      The type of shop-vac does not matter, the important part is that your shop vac has an accessible output nozzle that blows the vac's exhaust outwards.

    @HighOnSharpies93 we had a hose in the basement with a french drain so it was easy. Tried to use organic soap to make sure we were not shoving a lot of chemicals down the french drain

  • @TheBurningTot
    @TheBurningTot  11 років тому

    With this setup the machine is as loud as the blower you use. Also note that the foam will only last for about an hour. After that it dries out and forms a sort of foam "cloud" but its not the same. Its hard to describe. Good luck though! :)
