    These Flyhawk sets are insane at that scale. I'm building a 1/700 West Virginia with Flyhawk upgrade set, its good looking but man is this a pain in the arse to build.. Even more so given the evasive instructions from Flyhawk.
    Good job on your build, I might borrow your hole technique for the PE walls and turret tops! :)

      All of US Navy warships are basically AA gun platforms.
      Tirpitz is on the way, just I am doing some repetitive stuff like fairleads.

      He either has it finished and has started to work on this model or he just needed to work on something other than the Tirpitz for a while. I'm sure we will see more videos and the completion of the German capital ship.

      Such a project takes an extreme amount of time and work, and you simply want something different from time to time. But he has promised that he will complete the Tirpitz, you just have to be patient.

      Я использую Loctite 401 и Alaska 610. Если вы не можете получить Alaska 610, просто используйте очень водянистый. Спасибо за комментарий!

      I'll use old and simple masking tape. I'll cover the deck with small pieces of masking tape like mosaics.

    to note on flyhawk saying toremove the AA platform-it's possible that was something that happened irl to the ship and the model is also used for iowa, which maybe kept the mounts? Just speculation

    Oh this is one ship I want to get a nice model of to build, the Revell one I got is by far the worst model I‘ve ever seen from them (even though I got it almost for free), after cleaning and fixing parts it is still almost impossible to build.

      I use scalpel blades, they are very sharp but not so sturdy.
      I just constantly change the blade whenever I feel the blade is ruined.

    Is there a deck of that same colour for the Tamiya 1/350 scale USS Missouri 1944? I’ve been looking everywhere and cannot seem to find it.

      I haven't seen blue tone 1944 deck neither. Probably because the deck also need to be painted in patterns.
      I have seen 1945 one though.

      So technically perfect it needs a whole YT to show how its done. The Pontos work for 200th Hood is unbelievable. There is a derrick arm of increasing diameter. They made rings that you slide up and each one stops perfectly in place without measurement. Just a dab of glue.

    Why not putting that wooden deck on after the paint job it's the color its supposed to be and u only need to weather it and not mask it🤔

      Because of the PE parts on the wall. Some of them will fall off while fitting the deck.
      And Masking is not that hard. I like masking.

    This can't be real...
    You put the little tiny pieces exactly where they need to go on the first try.
    The tiny pieces stay where you put them without sticking to the tweezers.
    The tiny pieces don't fly out of the tweezers and go flying across the room to be lost forever.
    What kind of CGI trickery are you using?
