I agree people need to ignore the sizing and wear what fits you properly. They don't seem to realize that cloting manufacturers don't measure everyone for size that is humanly impossible. Along, with panys the right bra would help, If your wearing a strapless top wear a strapless bra. or if the top or sweater is cut in in the back wear a t back bra no need to show your bra straps. But “detest” ironing… My last great uncle is gone now, but he taught me to iron dress shirts when I was a kid. It’s sentimental for me. My aunt taught me to iron as a child. She was the fashionista of the family, always looked put together. I hated ironing for the majority of my life. Now I'm older and ironing is a peaceful endeavor for me now. I talk to my aunt and mom as I go. It's meditative.
Amen to ignoring sizing! I am in my mid 20s and it took till this year to accept than sizing is not only a marketing construct, it is a completely inconsistent one. I bought pants recently that are 2 sizes larger than my trued and true size, and i still have to take them to the tailor to take in the waist. I also have a dress 2 sizes smaller than my usual that shockingly fits just fine.
Completely agree. Sizing these days are all over the place. I have been skinny all my life so my struggle is the opposite of most. I know it is definitely easier said than done, but I wish people would not get so caught up in sizes, sometimes going up can make a garment fall and look better.
The only recent one-sided monologue that hasn’t bored me because of the practicality and depth. I know and practice a lot of this but it’s nice to hear someone else say it.

I totally agree with sizing up if needed. No one will see the size tag inside your clothes, but they will see an ill-fitting garment from the outside.

I have many silk garments and I haven't had any problem washing them with water at home. Thank you for good tips!
