Amazing job! I think a little bit of wind and subtle movement on the vegetation could add a lot of realism to your job. It is not so hard to get in Unreal.
Great work! I am not sure why, but somehow each time I watch UE5 archviz stuff, the nature and the "organic" details look amazing. However the "flat" parts of the geometrie somehow come out as to flat. For example the window frames are just to simple and to much 3D Game like. Not sure does it have to do with level of material detail? Also the walls even thou they are out of planks, there is very few geometrie visible. Does UE5 support Displacment?
I see what you are saying, and I think in this case it is because of lack of detail in the modeling and materials on my part. For the architecture, you probably saw in the video that I did not put a lot of effort into it, especially on fine details. On the other hand, a lot of the natural details are photoscanned at very high quality, so of course they look super real. The materials here are relying on normal maps, which should be able to give very good results, but I think I need to tweak them more, by adding more interest, grunge, etc. I don't think it is because of anything lacking in Unreal Engine itself, just my own laziness :)
nice animation! may i ask how did you learn modeling in 3ds max? I still do it in revit which is fine as a student but later i think it would be too expensive just for a modeling tool so doing it in max is a lot smarter
Max is pretty expensive too, but way better for animation and modeling, IMO. I am self taught, but mostly learned on the job. I do have a 3ds Max course that is cheap, and is a very fast way to get started. Check the links in the description and you should find it, or go to learnarchviz.com
Title a bit misleading, i honestly thought you were gonna build the hosue in Unreal engine and not in 3ds Max :D Anyway, i like the mood lighting and the project, still not convinced by the use of UE5 to make it. You would have had better results with vray or Vantage in my mind.
I plan on doing another version, finishing it out with Vray/Vantage. I agree you can probably get better results, but animating, setting up the composition of your scene, populating with details -- all that is so much more enjoyable in 30-40 fps. Also, filling out the environment for sure would have taken me longer in 3ds Max. If my computer hadn't crashed, I think I could have created this whole animation in about 4 hours, and then the rendering with high AA settings took about an hour. I should add 3ds Max to the thumbnail. I intended it to be a less significant part of the video, but it ended up being a big chunk.
I didn't need to. I didn't have any custom textures to paint, and to the extent that unwrapping is needed for real time, Datasmith handles all that. All I needed was standard UVW mapping.
I'm using a GeForce RTX 2080 TI, and the thing that failed was an old SSD drive. I think I may have caused issues by just having too many things running (including screen recording software) and I may have run out of RAM and disk space. Whatever happened, I got a blue screen and when my computer came back my hard drive didn't :( I was able to recover most of the essential stuff off of it, but it set me back several days. I've learned that when running Unreal, it is important to shut down other heavy software, keep plenty of disk space available, etc. And, of course, you need a good (enough) video card.
sorry to hear this, im on a similar setup (2070) and had a very similar problem also. UE5 is definitely a beast and needs the right hardware@@Learn-archViz
Great work Adam! Can't wait for your Vantage tutorial.
This was so relaxing to watch.
I hoped it would be :)
Awesome !! Greatwork bro !!
Ultimate process
Thanks for sharing this!
Wow! Gorgeous!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Great workflow!
Excellent work!

True. Thanks.

Great.. You have the same philosophy in 3D like me...

when you model the house, i was looking for the UV unwrapping workflow.. Did you skip it? or you actually dont need to unwrap anything?

Amazing waork ! , is unreal engine work with laptop has gtx 1050 ti and processor i7-7700 hq or not good ?
Perfection
Great content. Could you tell us the spec for the system you use? Also, what piece of hardware do you think caused the failure?

Bro please tell what is your system configuration bro please reply
the important thing to know here is that I am using a GeForce RTX 2080 TI as the video card here.
Lumne or Path? either way its looks very good
All Lumen this time
i dont have the UDATASMITH file type when i export from 3dmax! Can u help me pls
nice
The problem i see in UNREAL is that dont work to comercial projects, how can i render a full space of a building in him, like 10 ambients conecteds?
aun no existe eso es muy pesado para unreal y vantge mejor utilizar vray el viejo confiable
how long does the rendering took?
5 hours for 2500 frames with AA settings that were quite high. Lumen only, no path tracing.
sir plz minimum system requirement at work
What GPU you have currently?
GeForce RTX 2080 TI
For people asking, i can run UE5 on a i7, RTX2070 16gb ram laptop and do cinematics.
video at lightening speed.
