    My god Michael. i have read so many articles and so many topics on light. None could ever teach me this topic as good as your video has. I am taking this knowledge to the grave. Thank you!

    Would love to see the remainder of the electricity video. Any chance of that happening ?

    Tossing in another voice to the "why does the electricity video just suddenly end?" question.
    I was actually enjoying that and then out of no where all the sudden it just cuts off mid-

    Hi. Just wanted to say that I love the "How electricity works... animated" video but it is truncated. It stops abruptly before the end. Is there a second part? If not, can you repost it complete? Thank you.

    Are there LED's now with ratings of 100, perhaps with different LED colors in a single bulb/strip?

    Nice video. Note for the efficiencies. Old school incandescent lamps have efficiencies from 0.7% up to 2.6%, halogen incandescent lamps from 2.4% to 5.1%, not around 10%. There is good article in the Wikipedia about efficacies and efficiencies. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luminous_efficacy

    Another pro of incandescent light bulbs is that they are infinitely dimmable

    Where is CFL lights in this list, Is it just different terminology?

    • @frozengrayful
      @frozengrayful 5 років тому +2

      CFLs are Compact Fluorescent Lights, essentially mini Fluorescent lights. The phase controller is integrated into the base attachment. In the tube there is mercury excited by electricity, which makes the phosphors emit visible light. CFLs are slowly to be phased out due to high concentration of mercury in our landfills from their improper disposal!

      Joyce Zhang If I were to guess I'd say it is the halide metal one

    • @kepa219
      @kepa219 6 років тому +3

      Halogen lamp is newer type of incandescent lamp. Halogen lamps have higher efficiency and longer lifetime than old school incandescent lamps.
