- PUTIN'S WAR: Children's hospital hit! "Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile!" Kremlin blames Kiev!
The Kremlin has denied responsibility for a missile hitting a children's hospital in Kiev. "This is of course a PR campaign, in this case a PR campaign based on blood," said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. In an interview with Russian state television, he claimed that the Ukrainians had been so clumsy in deploying their air defenses that one of these missiles had hit the hospital. Now Kiev is trying to exploit this tragedy as a backdrop for President Volodymyr Zelensky's participation in the NATO summit. Contrary to Moscow's assurances, the UN Human Rights Office holds Russia responsible for the shelling.
The hospital was severely damaged by the shelling on Monday. According to official information, at least 2 adults were killed, including a doctor. A further 32 people were injured, including 8 children. According to the latest information, more than 30 people were killed in Kiev alone in the Russian attack, which also destroyed several residential buildings. The number of victims could still rise.
Russia regularly attacks Ukrainian cities with drones and missiles, repeatedly killing civilians. In the case of strikes with many casualties, Russia often claims that the Ukrainian military caused the hits on the civilian object through the use of air defense.
