Great video Patrick! I'm from Australia too and thinking of making a plan to do the move as well, so it was great to see your video. The universe has timed it nicely, greatly appreciate it so i gave you a sub.
Exactly the same reasons for the move!
I appreciate it mate! where in Australia are you based now?
@ still currently in Brisbane Australia. I sent you a dm via instagram 🙏🏼
you are completely right, tall poppy syndrome and putting people down. i'm in melbourne right now and there seems to be no inspiration from anyone or anything, no one seems happy, in themselves and other people.
exactly, don't get me wrong I still love Australia but there's just better places in the world to be if you're an entrepreneur / trying to better you life and see what's possible. you'll notice the mindset shift of everyone around immediately if you visit here
Love it.

@@patrickschenken I love your story; it's identical to one in my nation. Many people question this country, believing that it lacks individuality and culture. We have a blend of cultures, including Sharjah; it's a place to escape reality for a bit!
Vamossssaa
LFG 👀💸
'Energy' & 'Vibrations' wise ~ not a good move to criticize Australia which is [as an analogy] like your parents who looked after you from birth to age late-teens but maybe they were not the best parents in the last few years but did their best, but now you are all glowingly talking about your in-laws (wife's parents) which is Dubai [or whichever country people move to and say is better than Australia] - this usually does not end up well and comes back to bite
I mention in the video that Australia has beautiful nature etc. It will always be my original home but staying there didn’t align with my long term goals in life. Life is short so you have to make the absolute most of it. Have you had one job your whole life or did you pursue better opportunities for yourself and your family? What I dislike about Australia is the culture of putting people down, especially business people or people doing well. All over the news is negativity. I’ve travelled around the world and it’s a common thing that people say Australians have tall poppy syndrome. Not every one of course but it exists at a high level. I’ll always love Australia, everywhere has pros and cons of course but for me Dubai is the most ideal place for me (and anyone in the same industry as me) to live in the world right now
Humans adapt. Australia has done alot of good for everyone but if a ship is sinking that’s on you to if you choose to stay. Better places in the world.
Either way if he decides to come back his always welcome. Guess what everyone will be doing the same stuff like he never left. Australia is a beautiful country but it’s too slow pace and punishes entrepreneurs. People with ambition and money are leaving for Dubai like everyone else in the world.
@ disagree that AU is a sinking ship, its more like (let's say) an island that the sea level has gone up so the country is under a little bit more water compared to 25 - 35 years ago, BUT people on a bit higher ground and even higher ground that average are doing better than well and having fun
You can use any anology you like, Old money and greedy corporations monopolize wealth, making it harder for young people and families to succeed under heavy taxes and high living costs. Add in the “fun police” and COVID-era dictatorship-you couldn’t even return as a citizen! The creators and innovators are leaving, some for the U.S., others for the Middle East.
