I'm so sorry. this is a great video, but for those of us new to the coloring world it's very frustrating when they make these videos meant to be a "tutorial" and don't include colors, or anything informative for that matter. this doesn't really help me just to watch you color. no words, no explanation, I mean just nothing. then they have the nerve to speed it up smh
It's not meant to be a tutorial. There is nowhere in the title or description that suggests it's a tutorial. Not every video has to be a tutorial. Some people, including myself, enjoy watching speed coloring and painting videos with a music background. This video is made for them.
Nyliepooh1, I think of videos like this as inspirational (& aspirational lol) videos. We get to watch the process without doing HOURS of step by step. When I started coloring, I would watch the tutorials that detailed out every color, but after awhile, you’ll find this kind of video maybe more appealing as your confidence in picking your own colors grows.
Beautiful work, I think the work being accomplished by adult colouring book enthusiasts is simply phenomenal. I can’t for the life of me understand why some people do not categorise such people as artists, as far as I am concerned, people such as yourself are every bit the artist in the true definition of the word. I think it is a perfect display of two artistic talents coming together in order to create a beautiful work of art. The artist who creates the books and the artists who breath life into the work. Amazing
Oh Wow!!! 😲😲 Thank you so much for your lovely comment. 🎨😊 I've watched a lot of your videos. I love your in-depth reviews and your gorgeous artwork. 🎨😀
I like your skittles monster 😀. Glad I came across your channel. You're an inspiring colorist. I went ahead and ordered Geomorphia and Mythamorphia books. I came here after watching your coloring tips for the whirlpool in Geomorphia. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to see more from you. Happy coloring.
I'm a newb. What would be a great set of pencils to compliment my prismacolor collection for book coloring.? Would like say the luminance pencils be better than polychromos for book coloring? Inquiring minds need to know lol
I haven't used the Luminance very much but when I did, they seemed similar to Prismacolors. You can get a finer application with Polychromos, less grainy looking than Prismas. They're very different pencils so might compliment each other well. I've just bought the Derwent Chromaflow and I love them, they're my new favourite but they are very similar to Prismas to be honest. Really soft. Another option would be Prismacolor Verithin. They are a very hard pencil but you can do small details with those because you get a very sharp point. So those would also compliment the regular Prismas.
@rebeccasartcoloringvideos7800 I also got the Chromaflow. I love them. They have their own unique feel. Glad I have started my art journey all over again.
Hi Rebecca! Looking for tutorials in Kerby Rosanes books I found this colourful one from you! I really like it!!! Would you be so kind to tell me how much pressure you use on your pencils? It looks as if it is very light, but on the other hand it seems to blend very well and you don’t see any white of the paper anymore.
Hi Yvonne. Thanks so much, glad you liked it! It was quite I while ago that I did this one so hard to remember but I generally use a light pressure for lighter areas and then press much harder if I want a more deep saturated colour. Sometimes I start off with the darkest part first, pressing firmly and then use a medium pressure into a lighter area and then even lighter pressure for the light areas. If you go very lightly with a sharp point, most of the white bits get covered better than if you're using a more blunt point. I hope that helps :-)
@@rebeccasartcoloringvideos7800 thank you so much for your answer!! It really helps me. Especially your tip for a sharp point. And indeed it was “some” time ago 🙈😜 you coloured this page! Thanks again for your time to answer my question!
Great video!! This is the only Kerby book I have. They intimidate me badly lol but my bf found Colormorphia for me and brought it home. I want to try at least one page for him since he was thinking of me.
Thank you, Beth. Yep, go for it. Those smaller details are not as hard as they look. Just concentrate one one bit at a time and try not to think of the whole picture. Good Look :-)
@@rebeccasartcoloringvideos7800 Thank you I will definitely keep that in mind!! I usually do all my pages that way, I'll do all the same type of flowers or leaves. It gets tedious but then once they are all finished then it makes me happy bc I no longer have to worry about them lol I'm definitely going to do the underwater city/mermaid double spread. But I'm waiting until I have all of my other pages done first
Thanks for the video! Lovely work as usual. I love the content of both your channels and I feel you are truly gifted with a great sense of colour. Wanted to ask you which gesso would you recommend to prime colouring books for mixed media projects. I understand that you recommended the Golden Satin Glazing liquid and the Art Basics Gesso. Do you still use them ? Also, does the Art Basics primer work well with Neocolors and intense ? If you could please advise?
Hi Sing, thanks for the lovely comment, I really appreaciate it. I think I would go for the Art Basic for mixed media if you are using pencils and watercolour as this one works well with both. Sating glazing liquid has the edge for watercolor/inktense (and probably neocolor as it's basically watercolour paint but I haven't actually tested it with gesso). I haven't actually used any primers recently as I found I prefer to transfer the image to watercolour paper if I want to use just watercolor alone. I would still use it if for some reason I really wanted to colour in the actual book but the paper was no good for watercolour. For example, I'm going to try it in the Forest Girl books as I tried watercolour on this paper and it didn't turn out well. The books are so beautiful that I really wanted to colour inside the book itself so that's something I'll be trying in the future (when I get around to it, lol). Hope that answers your question. 😃
Hi Brittany, I do on some of my videos but it just depends what type of video I'm making. This particular one was not meant to be a color along tutorial style. If I'm doing making a color along video, I will state so in the title and also add color names.
I like your method of creating your vedio by speed coloring , especially with such a detailed double spread page. I don't know about anyone else but I become .bored with too much slow drawn out coloring and usually dont watch the whole vedio.for that reason so, thank you I also like that you don't do chat vedios . Sometimes some voices are annoying and distracting to be able to focus on the process. I like your vedios excuse you do not do these things

Wont be long until youre familiar enough with your colors to recognize them

I really like the bubble gum ball colors! I never would have thought of that! Bravo
I don't care what people say I found this video fascinating in the extreme. It was so relaxing.

Really terrific! Wonderful! Thank you!
Beautiful. Great demo ..love how you kind of speed colored but not too fast.
I'm glad it's not just me who got little pimples when colouring the sky despite trying to use as little water and pressure as possible! Phew !
Beautiful 😍 was awesome to see the kracken come to life 😁
Amazing! It's nearly 4 dimensional. Truly a master @ work. Thank you for sharing
Wow, thank you! 😊

Does this book have slot of bleedthrough with water?

Rebecca's Coloring Videos Thanks Rebecca! Always so helpful to get your advice!
Let’s name the octopus skittles😂❤
ooh, yeah 😂
He’s covered with m&ms yummy 😋😂
Muito lindo, meu deus! 💆🏻♀️
They look like Nerds! Or maybe it's because the music reminded me of Willy Wonka.
Haha, yes they do 😂
I wish you would put the color number or names as you are coloring so if someone wanted to follow along they could
