These are Resilient little creatures! I Adore them! For about 3 years I had about 10 feeders on my porch, = Alot of Work and Cleaning! But every year, one single bird would TAP on our window to kinda tell us that she was here and to please feed them! They are like yearly pets, and they are trully Amazing! One of God's gifts to the world for sure! Awesome video BTW, Thank you!!
One evening, while at a Walmart SuperCenter in Amherst, NH, I saw some birds flying around inside. Later, I saw about four birds gathered around the Lawn and Garden Centerfoors. One of those birds 🐦 seemed smart enough to know that if it will "fludder around this device" just above the doors and they will "magically" open. Sure enough, once those doors opened up the lead bird flew out, followed by the other three that were sitting there waiting for the right time.
This story made me smile so much. I absolutely love hummingbirds, and I hope to have a property like this someday so that I can give back to nature and help feed these wonderful birds. May the Creator bless and keep you and your husband and allow you to continue this work for many years to come.
Love your story. We called it "Hummingbird Bath House" because a hummer taught me what he liked to bathe in...a fine spray from my garden hose while I was watering. So I set up a fine spray and had 400 hummers and 6 species. Wow...what a mother!
I throughly enjoyed your video Mrs Robby! Great video, I smiled the whole time. I couldn’t believe that mama had 4 nest! Wow. I have two humming bird feeders because of you and purchased a solar fountain . The birds have not bathed in it yet , I’ll keep trying . My feeders never go dry for about a year and half now! Love you guys
You may need to move the fountain and try another place, but it also depends on how long your fountain was set up. Remember, we too started with only one birds, THANK YOU so much, take care, Robbie
I just moved to West Texas in the desert and last month I heard what I thought was a bumble bee buzzing around my head. When I turned around to see what I thought it was to my surprise it was a hummingbird literally inches from my face. Well maybe about a foot. But I never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would see a hummingbird in the desert. When I made the move from Florida to here I did bring a hummingbird feeder but in the move in got cracked at the top. So I still filled it with sugar water and put it out. That one hummingbird followed me in the house and outside until I hung it up! By the afternoon I had at least 3 hummingbirds. I couldn't believe it. The next couple of days my hummingbird population grew to at least a dozen. But now it's getting colder and I think they have headed south. I still have about 4-5 hanging around and fighting over the new feeder I bought a couple of days after the first one showed up. But they are amazing creatures they come right up to me, look at me chattering when it gets low on food. Who knows what they are saying LOL. I enjoyed your video. I think I'm going to make some like u did and maybe a solar fountain. Thanks 👍!!!

Wow...that's so awesome everything that you do for these beautiful birds and especially to the mama hummingbird that didn't want to waste any energy going back and forth from her babies to the feeders!
I put out one on Sunday, by Tuesday I had one hummingbird! On Wednesday I had two! Thank you so much for the recipe and motivation! I live in North Carolina and am shocked that they came!
Hey, I'm from Kuwait. This is such an awesome find! Videos like this and the incredible comments from some people are really inspiring. Big thanks to this lady and all of you. 🇰🇼
I knew... you leave the Christmas lights up.... so they can huddle near them year round for warmth. Thank you for showing that the Rufous Mama...build one of her nest around one of the Christmas bulbs. That is one brilliant mama hummingbird... AMAZING!. I think the key to having an up close and personal encounter with any birds.... is consistency in interest in your yard... ( offering food, water, and YOU). The more you become a daily familiar "feature" in your yard... the more comfortable they are with you being there too. The baby Gold Finches are adorable.
I am in shock and awe, I can’t believe it. I live in Indiana and I am lucky if I see one hummingbird. I love the birds, all birds . Your video put a smile on my face, a big smile. That is truly amazing, God bless you and your husband.
I live in Southern Indiana and I have at least 5 hummingbirds, 2 who definitely never leave my yard until migration. And they come when I call them. They are hard to spot if you aren't looking very intently and haven't learned their patterns, they look like insects buzzing past! We have tons of hummers in Indiana, don't worry
Hi Robbie I’m gonna start calling you the Hummingbird Queen LOL!!! I just love your videos. I bet you spend several hours a day just making the sugar water. It’s amazing how they can build the nest on the narrow pole!!! Take care and thank you for the beautiful videos. Your friend from Michigan. JoAnn 🐝🦋🐝
Hi JoAnn, Almost hours, even now I have to refill before the sun goes down, they do keep me very busy. They are amazing little birds, THANK YOU so much, take care, Robbie
I went from 1 humby to 4 or 5 in the past couple months. I wasn't filling the feeder reliably but one day a female ruby confronted me in the Garden about the empty feeder, even came to my windows clearly looking for me after the lecture in the Garden, so I put out several more feeders. Now they come when I call and I swear they never go farther than a 30 second flight from me because they always buzz past me or perch when I call them. I got a mantis off their favorite "secret" feeder 2 days ago after my kids saw them fighting the mantis (not a big one) and I got a big show of gratitude for that. Lots of twirling and chirping and perching.
I am so amazed by you and the beautiful habitat you created for them! As of last year I finally have my very own outdoor space and I was lucky enough to meet my first hummingbirds! I was instantly in love. Every morning the same one would be perching on the back porch, I really think she was waiting to hear the coffee pot because then shed come up to the feeder. Every morning. We had many and this year theyre back! But back to this: I am so inspired by this! I enjoy them somuch too. I cant imagine having them come into the kitchen that is truly a dream. Theyre magical creatures. Thankyou for this, some new facts, and all the work youve put into this!
Your Videos inspired me to do more so I ended up building a fountain bird bath and I also have 4 hummingbird feeders plus 3 bird feeders in the yard. Very Pleasant Video!
My neighbor started with one feeder and now has 3 feeders. I love the fact that you also give them where to bathe. I’ll have to share your video with her to give her inspiration on fountains. I love when they know who feeds them. They’ll come up close to your face basically thanking you. Thanks for sharing your amazing story. ❤🤗❣️🥰
Add another feeder. The more feeders you have the more you will attract. I start out with one feeder when they start showing up in the spring...Then I add another and another and that attracts more birds. With each feeder I put out, more and more birds start showing up...... In years past I’ve had as many as 8 feeders and the traffic was unbelievable ....i was going through a half gallon of food a day...this year I have four feeders and I also only fill my feeders enough to last that day so they have fresh food at all times.....It’s very hot and humid here and it doesn’t take long for the sugar water to start turning into a brew for the all drinkers and brawlers. Lol.
Thank you for doing what you do and sharing it with us. What a dream! I hope bird scientists and hummingbird conservationist give you credit for your contribution to the survival of these creatures. Your video helped with my anxiety and depression too. Thank you.
We LOVE our hummingbirds here in LA!! We just have an apartment balcony with one feeder and a lot of plants they like but it’s still a little bit of heaven from us. Thank you for sharing this!
I live in Central Florida, and I've only seen one hummingbird here in three years. He was the biggest hummingbird I'd ever seen! I had about six blooming orchids on a windowsill and he patiently went down the line and drank from each one. It was quite a sight. I can't imagine THOUSANDS. 😮

You've brightened my day with this story and made me even more excited to put out a DIY hummingbird feeder in our little patio! Hoping one day we could attract as many cute hummingbirds as you have!
This video is nothing short of amazing!! I'm in love with all those little "fairies"!! I heard wings buzzing My first hummingbird encounter thought it was a bee too, when I saw what it was and how adorable tiny fast fierce and sequence colors...I fell in love!! But since I've been feeding, I've only had 2 at a feeder no more and that was once, usually it's only one, id love to get a group of hummers!! God bless u and all those feeders and fairy friends 🥰🥰🥰

I live in North Carolina and am shocked that they came!
what a joyful video, this world need more people like you,
Thank you 4 sharing!
❤️ thank you so much 😊
This is INCREDIBLE and soooo aspirational! Just made my day!
That hummingbird by your kitchen window knows everything about location, location, location 🤣🤣🤣
They sure do, LOL, thanks, Robbie
Hey, I'm from Kuwait. This is such an awesome find! Videos like this and the incredible comments from some people are really inspiring. Big thanks to this lady and all of you. 🇰🇼
I so envy in a good way, I wish that they come to my house..I will enjoy them all day..love the hummingbird..:-)))
I knew... you leave the Christmas lights up.... so they can huddle near them year round for warmth.
Each year the local birds become now more and more tame, so fun, THANK YOU so much, take care, Robbie
I never would have thought they would have multiple nests in one season - fascinating that you were able to witness that.
They had an ample food source nearby so that’s why they will have multiple nests.
Thank you for taking care of our Summer Hummingbirds Robbie.
So great and cool of you! The birds will love it, and it is just too fun, THANK YOU so much, take care, Robbie
I have had the same three hummingbirds for the last 5 years. I wish more would come!
Hmmm if you build it they come.
Thank you.
I’m from Ukraine, never saw one, till I moved to UAE. They are so cute!❤ bless u for making their life easy❤❤❤
WHAT AN AWESOME STORY OF A HUMMINGBIRD AND THE KIND LADY.....
They are literally eating out of your hands! ❤️
I do not do that often, usually I leave them alone, but they are just so cute, THANK YOU so much, take care, Robbie
I have had them land on my hand, finger before. Such a treat
Are they good eating?
@@rickyb2673 if u can get enough of them, I reckon.
Wow what a lovely video, I live in the uk and we don't have hummingbirds, I've been watching some of your other videos and am now adding more plants, feeders and birdbaths with the hope it will attract more birds to my garden. Thankyou so much for sharing your wonderful hummingbirds with us, they are magical 😊💖🐦🐥🐤🐣🐥🐦🐥🐦🐤🐣🐦🐥🐣🐤🐦XX
Flowers and water really brings them all in to stay close by, Thank you so much, Robbie
Folks like you bring joy to the world !
OMG, Thank you so much 😊
You've brightened my day with this story and made me even more excited to put out a DIY hummingbird feeder in our little patio!
Thank you so much!
She's living the life I'm dreaming about. Lovely!
One of the only two things I miss about California: the weather, and the hummies.
And the sunsets.
This is awesome! I love all your feeders and baths, you treat your hummingbirds so well:)
Thank you! 😊 I must say, I get much enjoyment from them too, take care, Robbie
