These new models will support A/V in? I know on older models there was a way to screen mirror your iPhones through this port but not sure if that is still possible. I really would like to be able to screen share to the head unit through the rca cables to a hdmi to a lightning connector. Streaming music videos on UA-cam with the system bumping at car meets is a goal

Ok so I was going to buy this headunit but I'm confused. I need it to mirror my iphone X. So I get the mirroring kit that you mentioned. However it says that one HDMI to RCA is powered by USB. This head unit only has 1 USB correct? So if thats where its getting power then how do I also plug my iphone in the USB to connect to apple carplay? Won't the USB be used to power the HDMI to RCA converter?
Also, I have the iDatalink Maestro RR ADS-MRR interface with the F01 harness for my 2010 Mercury Mariner. My car does not have factory navi, it does have sync, but no subwoofer, and it has steering wheel controls. Will my Maestro still give me steering wheel controls or do I need to purchase that additional steering wheel kit to keep use of my factory steering wheel controls. Thanks.

1. So we've learned that it's best to get USB power away from the stereo for the adapter. Ideally if you'r car has a USB port or with a car cigarette lighter adapter.
2. iDataLink Maestro RR doesn't connect to SWC. You'll have two options for that, the Axxess version or the iDataLink MSW interface:

Can you program / update the mastro / radio after install via USB? I want to open more features to this radio. Also, I have a rear ves in minivan. Can I use the front camera a/v outputs to watch my DVD?

I have a VW Passat 2009 with the standard radio in it, the stock sound is very loud and good but I need Android auto or atleast something with a screen, I've had bad luck with some radio as they don't get nearly loud enough the sound is flat. What would be a good option??? Around 300$

I have the 7706 in one of my cars and for the price, its the best deck on the market, hands down. my only real complaint is the USB pigtail. It limits what cables you can run and CP/AA is super picky on cables. At a minimum I wish they did a super short pigtail off the back. I do wish they used the nicer harness like you see in the 9706, but thats being super nitpicky on it. other than that, its been a fantastic deck.

So the difference between the 706S and the 7706S is just HD radio? I think I missed where the differences were discussed. At the time of this comment the 7706S is $399 on Amazon but the 706S is $489 which would make me think it's the better unit but I can tell what the difference is.
I have the 706s I think the main difference is the exceleon which I believe all HU's in that class has 4v pre amp outputs, 13 band eq, dsp and an extended warranty where as their regular head units do not feature those things...
Kenwood DMX 7706S as having two USB ports. When I look at this unti I don't see two USB ports. Where are they located?

I have the DMX7705S...I love it, but I also hate it!
Android Auto won't connect anymore, and I've tried everything to try and update the firmware.......this receivers need to be lasting a lot longer then 1yr.
How do you play videos on this?

So you can connect any source to this unit you want, so long as you have the proper cables. These units have an RCA video input with 3.5mm Audio Jack input.
