not whole story but if i recall accuratly tracy was not one to natural enjoy performing to a large crowd and developed eventualy dibilitating stage fright. apparently many big name performers ' secretly '*get stage frigh '.like any negetive emotion u either cope or u dont for complex reasons . and tracy for a good while stopoed touring. no live shows equals less interviews less live record releases less potential fans ... is how i read a long story about this intresting husband and wife band .they are among my fav band ever .and i can be super picky .lol.❤ them
Have just bought her double cd with the original recording of this track. No guitar only piano . This live recording with acoustic guitar is by far the best sound. It,'s like she made this live recording in your own front room. Bless Ben and Tracey.
Having recently read Tracey's 'Naked At The Albert Hall' she writes about her mid Atlantic American accent - to me she sounds quintessentially English, and all the better for it.
@joebore - Hard to read but I did some work clearing up the image from a still... - It looks to be recorded in the same sessions as the other "At Horne" Videos they have up on UA-cam... It has a B&W Cover Photo of a Woman, taken in the early 1950's. Her name is blurred but it is three words - a full name - beginning with an "S" and under that in White it says clearly says "Selected Poems". If you know of a three name, mid-20th Century poet who recorded her work, you got your answer...
Aweee she's fab.. Feels like your looking at the guitar sometimes...lose yourself less . Your an amazing singer. Make it a tune for you..Just sing it the way it is i guess in your head! post that =) you and ben dont need all this stuff go back to basics.
Luv this video with this song. I only like ebtg in performance videos. Dont like the cringe cheesy choreographed videos. These are normal people. Stop making them look like a bad dream with stupid choreography With the exception of ... I didnt know ...Isabella Rossellini
Simon Moore: Really? You think so? I think it sounds exactly the same as when she sang 'Driving" and "Blue Moon Rose". I just listed those two because they're in my MP3 player. Tracey has the ULTIMATE alto voice! No one comes close to her...well, maybe Rumer and the late Karen Carpenter, but that's about it.
You're just too used to vocals with reverb and echo. This is her voice without any makeup. Her vocal in this version is 'dry' and without any effect(s). What you're hearing is Tracey Thorn's _voice_. Her vocal on 'album' tracks and even live, was rarely ever left untouched. I don't think her voice has changed much, except the usual added pronouncement of lower octaves in the vocal range that naturally occur due to aging in humans.
could say lot more .but very beutiful indeed will do nicely .music can 'speak for itself' ...love it.
That voice. How is she not an even bigger star?
Very good question.
Love Tracey Long time since her vocals on Working week Vincermos track
with Robert Wyatt ...🎶🎶🎤.....👍🏽💥🤘🏽
@@JazzFunk22 I remember that.
@@flynnfriend 12inch Jazz Dance special is a masterpiece bit bias I was in the video

It's insane this is a live session. Sounds like a record. Her singing is FLAWLESS. Just sublime.
Sounds so laid back i fell over .
@@SuperSeriouSamlol😂
there's just one voice I keep going back to, whenever I have a craving for sheer beauty, and that's Tracey's

@TheCasu305 They married in 2009, according to Wikipedia
raregamecollector yep and dated for decades before
N'importe quoi mais les filles, j'avais 17 ans, c est éternellement bien à écouter
For some reason that lyric puts me in mind of Morrissey.
The new TT album is top shelf.
@pen64 could it be Suji Kwock Kim?
Are there any chances to find this very specific live version available on iTunes or somewhere else?
Thanks
i could not see thru the blur when the camera went passing, what record was that on the floor? thank you.
So Ben and Tracey are still friends
friends??. husband and wife for decades. call me an unrelistic romantic but that should mske them perment soul mates or 'super friends'😮
For me...No one gets anywhere near her.
ding!
@gamehoarders I knew it! Their music is much to good to simply be two people playing.
You cant watch this video just once
simon, perhaps you need to see your doctor to check out your ears n capabilities for hearing?.....the girls voice is still honey.
Aweee she's fab..

Sadly not as good a voice as she had back in the day, but still better than anyone else out there.
