Willow totally prefers Alfalfa hay too! But her veterinarian told me not to give it to her. To give her Timothy hay. She said Alfalfa hay is used for rabbits that are for meat and/or fur. It makes them grow faster and fatter. She said Timothy hay was all she needed and should be 80% of her diet. Different veterinarians, different opinions I guess. 🤷♀️ Honestly, I still give her a little Alfalfa too 😆 She LOVES it so a little bit I don’t think will hurt her. Willow finally jumped on my lap at 51 days! I was so excited! At 53 days of having her, she “purred” on my lap as I was petting her… I cried. 😆💜 Those grooming wipes are an awesome idea! I’ll have to try those! And the kitty scratch pads! 😀 I found that Etsy has quite a few sellers of bunny treats! We’ve went through more treats than I care to tell (😂) with trying to get her to hop on my lap. One specific seller that Willow LOVES is “The Floppy Binkery.” She sells all kinds of different treats and she’s an amazing person to do business with! I highly recommend her… and so does Willow! 😆💜🐰 I also noticed Willow likes blown air so I bought her a small clip fan. I have it attached to the side of her play yard (the door to the play yard is open 90% of the time) and I’ve noticed, she lays in front of it A LOT. Speaking of…. I have someone licking my foot 😆💜🐰
Haha awww this is full of so much awesome stuff!! 💝🙌😆If she's still under 6 months then I think unlimited alfalfa is great but definitely put Timothy hay out all the time so she gets used to it 🙌 I'm still getting the bunnies used to being on my lap but it's getting way easier with the scratch pad between us lol. When they purr and crunch their teeth it's the freaking best. I live for that!! I'll check out floppy binkery thx!! 💝🙌🤸♀️🐰🌸
Its so good to see how far you've already come with owning a rabbit and the things you've adjusted or changed. Also with the fact im not sure where you live in the world depending on how hot it gets during your summers a good tip to keep rabbits cool is i use a damp tea towel or damp paper towel and just wipe their ears down with that to cool their ears off because thats where they release their heat. Well done cant wait for the next update! :)
Thanks so much! I live in BC Canada so have all 4 seasons. It's been tricky trying to adjust the right heat temp and humidity daily. I think I'll start using a damp cloth every now and then just cuz she loves it ❤️ yeah I heard about the 'heat ear release' thing somewhere it's a great thing to know! 🙌 thx for watching!
Omgshhh I love watching Peekaboos journey. I just got a Lionhead bunny last month and watching him explore and do new things is so cute! I feel like a proud parent lol. The sound effects in your videos are hilarious and Peekaboo’s zoomies and binkies make me giggle and happy to watch.
I've had my bunny for almost a year now and i can tell you you're doing just perfect! mine just warmed up to me after two or three months, he started jumping on me and alot of other, and because i didnt really do bonding exercises the process was slower for me, but he is so cuddly now and acts like a plushie sometimes 😁 Peekaboo is gonna warm up to you in no time!
I love your channel, great tips and so cute seeing how Peekaboo is coming along, we have bunnies roughly the same age, and a lot is trial and error, one thing for sure we love our little bunnies ❤️
She is so adorable! The issue I’m having with my babies right now is trying to cut their nails! I’m gonna need a second person to help me hold them still while I trim the nails (which are sooo sharp!)
she may not like the texture of timothy hay, orchard grass by oxbow is a good substitute. Its softer although i believe orchard grass is a bit more fattening its still a good substitute 🥰
My bunny is 3 months n she don’t like alfalfa hay :( at all she will no touch it I give her Timothy hay n she loves it :/ I hope that don’t affect her .. i got some vitamins for her oxbox … I also try to mix Timothy n alfalfa n she don’t eat it 😢
Wow that's interesting. I've seen other bun moms feed a wide variety of hay for their babies. I'm sure the vitamins you're giving help! Keep trying maybe her tastes will change🤷🏻♀🤞
I’ve noticed that different brands of alfalfa hay have different looking hays.. maybe try some other brands? I use the Timothy hay over the wood litter pellets to give them something soft to lay on & go the bathroom on while they eat the alfalfa (which I put on top of the Timothy in the litter box on one side- mine like to face out while they eat, they always pee in the same spot in their litter boxes, and eat in the same spot, so when I change them I set it back up for that) But ya, some of the brands of alfalfa they like better than others. Another thing you can do is try to sprinkle like rose petals or marigolds (some kind of flowers/herbs) over the hay I also have to clean my buns’ litter box often or they’ll stop going in there, and keep adding more new hay on top on their eating sides (I have 2 small side by side litter boxes) I guess all buns are different, also my bunnies each have different tastes and like/dislike different things

She is so adorable!
The issue I’m having with my babies right now is trying to cut their nails!
I’m gonna need a second person to help me hold them still while I trim the nails (which are sooo sharp!)
Omg I'm sooooo nervous about this😅 She's due for her first trim in 3 weeks and she's the most skittish bunny on earth so I'm not looking forward it😭
she may not like the texture of timothy hay, orchard grass by oxbow is a good substitute. Its softer although i believe orchard grass is a bit more fattening its still a good substitute 🥰
just bought her western timothy hay and she LOVES it yaaayyyy! She doesn't like the compressed stacked hay so no more of that👍
the hay house toy looks like a lot of fun for the bun! Where did you get it??
Yes it's great! We got it in a Canadian store called Bosleys(PetSmart)
Love your content😄
Yup she has grown!

Where did you get that edible hay house?
It was at a Canadian store called Bosleys which I think is owned by PetSmart 👍
What about fresh greens?
She's too young for that gonna try in a couple of months👍
