Really appreciate your discussion of We Spread and sharing your personal connection in your real life. I’ve been scared to read it because Alzheimer’s runs in our family and seems so prevalent as we all live longer. Not sure when I’ll read it (because 😭 ) but I’m definitely still intrigued.

Oh God, I probably won't be able to read We Spread, since my grandma also had Alzheimer's since the 90's, and she needs to be in a facility for it but she's not! She turns 89 next month.
I loved The Weight of Blood. That was insane. I would recommend two other books by her: Monday's Not Coming and Allegedly, but The Weight of Blood was definitely my first 5 star book of hers.
I DNFed the Weight of Blood, after struggling through White Smoke and not enjoying that I just couldn't put myself through another on of her books I wasn't enjoying.

My favorite books by Tiffany D Jackson are Monday's Not Coming and Grown. They just hit me really hard in terms of the content and the issues that are tackled. I didn't like Allegedly and I had some mixed thoughts on White Smoke. I'm planning on reading The Weight of Blood soon!

I think you would love Motherthing by Ainslie Hogarth. I haven’t read A Certain Hunger but I feel like it could be slightly compared to it.
Monday's Not Coming by Tiffany D Jackson is fantastic. Definitely my fav I've read by her so far.
(The others I've read are Weight of Blood (loved) and White Smoke (hated))

Just picked up Confessions from my library 😮👍
I read six Booktubers’ favorites of 2022 in January and yours was definitely the highlight! I also tried Babel for Megan (DNFed at 130 pages), Tomorrow x 3 for G (3⭐️), We Spread for Gabby (3⭐️), Every Summer After for Hailey (3⭐️), and Piranesi for Elias (4⭐️). This experiment never works out well for me. 😆
🫀 love that u found so many new favorites. A certain Hunger of one of my favorite books. I just read we spread and had the same feelings about it. Maybe try Foe by iain Reid. I liked that a little more

I read confessions for Kayla’s book club with Katie and was listening to it on audio and the ending I had to relisten because my mouth was on the floor too❤️ the only thing I didn’t like was the repeat facts in the different chapters we already knew but I just skipped it in the audio.
