I believe the Wahl blades are way better than Stylecraft/Gamma. Click levers is not a must. Over all I lean towards Wahl.
One thing tho, the blades on the new magics come with gets hot quick. I put the old magic clip blades. I Can say, the hit !!
Personally, I like the wahl for fading and the rebel for bulk cutting. You are right they do go good together, since there are times and different hair types where the wahl out performs the rebel vice versa, but thats my preference. However, the magic clip with a fusion blade and tomb45 battery in it 🔥🔥 I don't like the gold wahl blade for some reason it seems to snag, feels a bit rough.
Same setup menus the battery 🤙🏽 love the combo. I also use the boosted or seniors for bulk but usually the seniors if I’m being honest.

Welp since I try the rebel, I never came back to wahl, no competition, way more battery life, doesnt heat, the blade is another level, more tecnology, cut faster is lighter

The only thing I don’t like about the rebel is that the body feels a little cheap. It’s light in the hand but the plastic doesn’t feel premium and the logo from the paint comes off easy. Other than that the clipper is great .
Completely agree with the boosted also. Almost feels hallow! But the clipper works great i guess… 🤷

Couldn’t agree more with you. Maybe a little more sturdier and it would be a great clipper. Not that it ain’t, but the cheap feel doesn’t go with the way they cut. 💯💯

I have both clippers. I would have to disagree with you on the power of the Clippers. You said that the magic clips feel like they have more torque. I personally think the rebels are way more powerful.

Off topic I put that that faper/fusion blade on the Caliber 9mm clipper! I have put my 1919’s & Gamma ergo down ever since! I think the way their metal cutting blade sits flush makes cutting effortless! Much continued $uccess!
ive used some gamma stuff in the past, so ill politely say "no thank u" to them & take a hard pass ...& with that being said, theres a very good reason after 30 years in the buisness (& coming from a family of barbers that have used wahl) that i buy & trust the longevity & build quality of a wahl machine over everyone else, including andis & oster... although babyliss is winning me over with that gold fx trimmer... but my love of that wahl staggertooth blade is why i have 3 of those magic clips... one og, one 1919, & one gold... & well, 4 if u count an anniversary senior i put the magic staggertooth blade on... & i know its all "personal preference" but i like the wahl machines, & i trust em to do what theyre supposed to do, all the time, every time, & usually straight outta the box... theres a reason they are the big dogs, the benchmark, & the ones everybody else tries to compare themselves to ...always enjoy ur videos reggie, thank u sir
Honestly I don't get it. I got the Gamma Boosted which is said to be a continental version of the Rebels, exact same internals apparently. The boosted struggles through bulk unlike my Seniors, you cannot say this has more power than a Senior. And also, I find my blade bracket shifts on my Gamma Boosted so I have to readjust every now and then, and I've read about this problem happening before. I'm personally not a Gamma fan now, and love my trusted corded and cordless Wahls. Maybe the Rebel is actually somewhat different to the Boosted as I sure as hell wasn't impressed with the Gamma Boosted, and everyone in the industry raves about the Rebel.
SC/Gamma are doing bits, but Wahl will always be my go to. I'd go to the JRL next down if I wanted something different, they're underappreciated I find... you don't see many videos on UA-cam with people cutting hair with JRLs.
@@nurulamin2992 ive had some of the same issues with gamma/sc ...but in all fairnes, some folks havent had these issues... which to me says they have a quality control issue, at least as far as "consistency" is concerned... but my ol faithfuls, i can always count on em... the wahl seniors, the magics, & the detailers... & now my newest edition, the chrome barber hairdryer (what do yall wanna bet itll "out-live" that $300 pos from gamma/sc by about 30 or 40 years?!?) ...so yeah man, i want to see gamma/sc do good, but ive wasted enough money on their inferior products already, so itll be along time before they get another nickel outta my pocket for a "body-in-white" generic private labeled p.o.s. posing as a "professional" grade tool ...& quick side note, ive been using the jrl 2020s for about a year now, one with a fade blade & one with a taper blade, & theyre fantastic! ...especially for flat tops & such, cause u can hold em like a giant pencil... alright, im out, good day

I’ve wasted money on plenty on Gamma/SC also because of muppets on UA-cam and/or Gamma/SC payroll 🤔. I’m tempted by the Rebel purely for the lack of weight but I’ve had 4 of there products (Hitter, Ergo, X Ergo, and Uno shaver) while the Ergo was a beast it soon became loud as hell and unusable. The Hitter isn’t a professional trimmer at all it’s a toy and only hits with 15 passes because of lack of power and terrible trimmer blades. The X ergo is in a cupboard somewhere with a broken back housing around the screw hole and is just ‘meh’. And I got the Uno for £30 and the foil broke after a month and marked a client of mine up a lot as the foil got penetrated by the cutter head very very slightly and in noticeable by eye only noticeable when I ran my finger over the foil.
Everything they release is terrible quality, worse than the plastic they use for kids toys.
I love the senior but the weight is a big issue for me I have pins in my collarbone on my cutting side and it never healed right. The Magic Clip isn’t yet available in the UK but I’ve tried so many clippers and trimmers and I always go back to Wahl. They just work!
Also have the JRL clipper and while there good it’s a pain dusting the loose hairs off it between cuts cos it’s round and slippy 😂
Ft Worth has the magic clipper for 176$ and I think the Rebel 159$ both 🔥the magic clipper lays the hair down better my opinion but both smooth good video bruh as always

Did you know the Faper blade is a little thicker than the fusion blade. They really are different blades
I ordered a pair of the rebels and first order that came I couldn’t change the lever due to the screw being jammed in there (they sent it out like that) so I sent it back and they sent a new rebel and this time the moving blade wasn’t straight so I tried straightening it out and when I was the holes where the screws go on the blades wasn’t lining up 😅 so the screws kept getting jammed in there so I just sent it back and got my refund. Never buying from style craft ever again 🚮

Clippers have gotten wayyyy too expensive... a good quality clipper shouldn't cost $200-$400 just for being cordless... especially when they're still made with cheap plastic
I believe the blades have a lot to do with the clippers as well try to switch and see what happens
Which clipper overall that you've ever used would you say is best for cutting fine and thin hair in terms of not missing hairs and give a clean cut

The only thing u paying more for on the magic gold is the blades and dock, the motor is basically a legend and senior. I rather get a legend for a cheaper price.

dunno why my magic clips keeps going crooked in the blade? Everytime i zero gap its fine, then after a while its higher in one side... is it the spring or something that i need to adjust? Its annoying as hell atm.....
It’s something with the bracket on these Gold Magic Clips. After using mine for a bit it started to do the same thing. I reached out to Wahl for another one and it’s doing the same thing as well. Definitely not a good thing to have happening.

I just purchased the faper blade to put on my gold magic clips. The fade blade on the wall seems to have nearly identical dimensions to the faper. Is there really a difference? Or is the stylcraft fade blade just so thin that the faper is middle ground between stylcrafts fade and taper?
Little off topic but what's your thoughts on cord vs cordless? Do you think the power/performance is matched by cordless?
**I'm not a barber but just wondering which type of clipper to get for home/personal use. I'm mostly using it for beard work and trimming with numbered guard attachments.
Btw, just a guess. I think the wahl may have a shorter run time due to running the motor with higher power/torque.

Corded will always be stronger. If you could deal with the cords then stick to corded if you can’t and you don’t like how it gets in your way then get cordless. Cordless is more expensive as well just more convenient.
wahl taper or magic motor v5000 not , but wahl v9000 is similar a rebel Stile craf, realy cordlesd is best

Wahl uses a plastic piece on the end of the transformer. The piece that vibrates the blade. Yea its intentional. Planed obsolescence. You know cuz mu greed.

Why?
There has been a lot of new clippers manufacturers put out to the market over the last few years and Style Craft / Gamma is one of them. I view these manufacturers as start ups. They may end up being better but as of right now, they’re not as established nor are they tried and tested. I don’t know about you but there is no one in my area who carries parts for them meaning if they break on you it’s a wrap and you’re sending them out for repairs or having to purchase a new one all together. That’s not the case with Wahl / Oster / Andis.
