Yeah unfortunately the guy was most likely bluffing. Because that check flop bet $250 on turn just seemed like lex was trying to buy the pot. So he called intending to bet the turn. No way he actually had 67
@@dl6262 I wonder if that guy was truthful that he had the straight. I find in my game people always afterwards say they had the nuts even if they were bluffing.
At 6:38 you have the nut straight, yet you still check on the river. You would only lose to a flush but in my opinion flush was unlikely since the opponent was checking the whole time. I think you should've bet the river to give yourself a chance to get value from sets or even possibly 2 pairs
That was some of your best poker I have seen in ages, folding monsters when correct, that KQ hand I thought pre flop older TV watching reg its AA for sure when you had the KQ, if he did have the 10’s which made sense great fold, your playing well when your reading hands and making the right plays, those folds although frustrating are as good as a hero call!! Awesome work Lex O
Lex, with those Jacks, I feel like you have a mandatory jam there. The guy who ended up having 77 can never have anything that has you beat there. Also, tight reg on your left never has kings or aces, so you jamming has him lay down QQ and you win that monster pot.
Great Video and great Vlog! Watched your last 10 sessions and like your style of talking so openly! This session shows that you can’t force „good“ hands! Hope next session will be better! Best wishes from Germany (Berlin) 😊
Yeah, it’s funny because even though this was a very bad session as far as the cards go. I think you played practically perfect. You made some really good lay downs that had to be extremely hard in the situation you were in. I found myself several times saying man what a good fold I couldn’t have done that.
Good job with not getting tilted after running into it so many times! That's hard to do!! I know I wouldn't have been able to do it!! Maybe once or twice but not all night like that!! Shows you've grown a lot as a player!!

I was in the same boat most of the time too. wish I could chat with you somehow. so, keep vlogging the game. I enjoyed watching your wins and losses. and give your dog a milk bone from me!!
Hey Lex you gave a tip of $1. I tried that at curb checkin at airline and the man took it as an insult. Told me to keep it! If you lose $2400 that night, wouldn't you tip the dealer at least more when you win? Think about it.
So hard to watch, ouch! I'm glad there is no poker room anywhere near me here in Costa Rica, I wouldn't be able to handle any bad runs like this. I'll just live vicariously through you poker volggers and save myself my retirement money. Pura Vida Lex, better luck next time!

@12:00 I'm Shipping that turn w/o hesitation. When you're running bad, psychologically, it's more important to win the hand then it is to seek max value. Plus your image is tilty so you might get called, but likely you'll get folds which is what you want.
I wonder what you think about shoving JJ as a sort of bluff to get the stronger range to fold a hand like QQ or AK. I doubt he's trapping much with AA or KK pre flop. I thought the backjam was a pair like 99-TT or AK, although I guess QQ is possible. I think a fold is the logical play but I'm wondering what a live pro thinks about a reshove there with JJ?

When you had the red aces I think opp had 99 or TT for sure. He would’ve rivered a bad straight or a no good set and checked back. Would be nice to know what he had
Just had a 10+ hour session like this where people are just giving money away but taking my money when I get constantly sucked out on. Lost 3 buyins to maniacs playing any 2 cards and sitting on stacks of 5-6 buyins. It’s the worst feeling in poker but nothing you can do but trust in the process lol.
Those nights are tough to sleep off. I admire your ability to walk off after losing 3 buy ins and realizing it's probably not your day. The same opportunity will present itself again in time, and you'll be ready to pounce.

Some solid folds but that play with K10 off was rough. You bet the flop hand is over and even betting two streets no way he can call and you lose less money than you did even if he did call. I think you got to bet the gutter there on the flop if your going to raise K10 off there. Like you said the way you played it didn’t make sense and in that case his call with 88 was correct. You allowed for that correct call.
