I can’t believe how impressed I am with Kevin and his technology and the way he designs things for bikes he makes everything bulletproof I have a lot of respect for him This is what you get from a man who takes pride in what he does
Kevin is a unique guy , he’s not your typical biker , he’s a visionary , he’s very grounded and incredibly talented , listening to him he’s still an Aussie very likeable, his success is well deserved ,behind every good man is a great woman , a little Aussie battler who made it .
He's a dick. I bought a BBC Sled 300 back in 2011. It was a gift to myself after retiring from a civil service job in New York City. I paid approximately $30,000 and have no complaints. I like my bike very much. 3 years ago the regulator rectifier got loose and was dragged. I called BBC a few times to get the part number and was always given the runaround. Last week I wrote Kevin and ask him if he could give me the part # so I can pick one up on eBay. They go from $15 - $150 on eBay. He wrote me back saying "I have one left. $500 call Mona(his wife). I called her and explained that I just needed the part #. She failed to return my call twice. A week later I finally got her and still no part number. I told her about the $500 thing with her husband and she said she'd speak to him. Never called me back. Calked her and reminded her that I was a good customer who paid 30 g's for 2 of their bikes. I informed her that I called Cycle Electric but they're not sure which one. In the end Kevin would not budge on his price even though hr doesn't use that part anymore. He chose yo keep it, not get mr the part number, and tried to charge me $500 for a part I could get for much less. I always heard they were not goof business people and this proves it. Fuck them. Don't buy anything from them. They will not help you if you need them to. I wasn't asking for a handout. I was willing to pay a fair price.

yeah they screwed me on a dumb dyna part. took forever to ship and when I contacted them they claimed I never paid but I paid PayPal and proved it. then they said it wasn't in stock.
He said he had one for $500. sounds good enough. If you wanna be your own mechanic and buy parts for cheap do it but don't complain when nobody helps you. You've gotta source your own supplier (you said eBay ) and ask them and send pictures and examples to the seller on eBay. The fact they had something and you didn't want it because you feel it's too expensive and they didn't figure out all the details like the exact part number when you weren't buying the part from them etc is on you you're just wasting their time they have to pay parts people to look those up plus pay for the building, and property taxes, and lights to be on etc...so use your own time and money to figure it out.
He said they shipped him his part late because it wasn't in stock and they had not seen the payment on pay pal. Well apparently they got their shit together and mailed him his part late
@@mindciller All he had to do was give me the part number. The conversation I had with him and his wife Mona were over the course of 2 weeks. His wife was the one telling me to call back and that they'd get me the part number. It was obvious that they had an aha moment and thought that was a good time to pull a fast one. Had they given a fair price, then I would not have been wasting their time as you say. Read slowly. I said I was willing to pay $300 which I knew was way overpriced but was willing to pay it. I know it's difficult, but are you following along? Eventually, I found the part number on my own and I bought the part from the maker(Cycle Electric), through my mechanic. We were charged $140 dollars. So, given the fact that A). Big Bear admitted they don't use the part anymore. B). I was a good customer that put $30,000 in their hands previously. They should have just given me the part number if not a fair price. If you're foolish enough to pay almost triple the price, then go ahead and be foolish. That's your choice, but it's not mine or most people with even a little sense. Given the time that's gone by, in 2010, they probably paid $50 for that regulator. You think it's good business to do what they did? I knew what the value was so I knew $500 would only be paid by some sucker. Kind of like you. In business you should be fair. Treating clients good while making a fair buck at the same time is how it should be. Trying to get over on people will never bring success. That's why they weren't successful before, and are not successful now. There aren't enough fools like you that are willing to pay triple. Hey man. I have some things I'd love to sell you for triple the price. Let me know if your interested. Moron!

Had the privilege to see a Big Bear Chopper here in France today. Black and red with maltese cross designs. Absolutely stunning. These videos are always amazing but nothing could prepare for the real thing.
There’s a big bear chopper for $12k on ebay right now. Amazing how how these WCC, OCC or BBC bikes don’t hold their value and disappear into rich men’s garages
Your are correct my friend. I recently acquired a $43,000 American Iron horse chopper for like 18,000 in a trade.. it's a Show Stopper. 4000 miles on it.. People freak out when they see it. But back in the early 2000s, the chopper craze was big. Everyone had to have one. Now you can pick them up for a 1/3rd of the original price in great shape.
I just thought it was pretty kewl that I spotted my chopper in the bike show at the top of mountain at the 2008 ride the mountain bike rally. My bike is a 2007 custom built reaper. The candy apple with orange and red striping on it. If anyone could help me about some info about it I would greatly appreciate it. It’s the only reaper that is known to have a 280 rear tire with right hand final drive and 6-speed right hand drive baker transmission, swing arm is identical to the reaper swing arm. Must have been cut and added some tubing or something to make it look like came with it?

From what I can tell this episode aired in 2008 and a lot has happened since then. For example, the bottom completely fell out of the chopper market. Oh well. Fashion comes and fashion goes.
It had to happen, there was so much market saturation , literally everybody and their brother was opening a "chopper shop", and the market has never been that huge, I mean not everyone wants or can afford a chopper, lots of ppl prefer sport bikes, baggers, etc., and then a few outlets came out with really extensive "build your own " bolt on catalogs and a lot of ppl went that route, why pay a custom shop all that $ when you could order quality, warranted parts ( often for less ) and then put them on yourself? A Harley is at the end of the day generally speaking about the most basic design out there from a mechanical complexity point of view, most aren't watercooled ,etc so you dont have to be a mechanical genius to work on one compared to other bikes.

They’re selling for about 10-20 k. Seeing one on market place for 15
Incredible how cheap they are now! One on facebook marketplace for $6000. Another for $7500? I wish I had money!? I’d definitely take them both!
