    Just spent the last 2 weeks visiting farms in the middle of nowhere in Wales. I put good quality all season tyres on - the price difference is £36 for a cheap Chinese tyre and £52 for top of the range . Changed the front discs and pads for £30, rear exhaust £40. Zero tax and £115 per year insurance - yes we are old! Oil change and filter - £16! I can’t believe how good this car is - owned for over 5 years now. Company is paying me 45p per mile and I’m still getting 50mpg - that’s £22.50 for £6 worth of fuel!

    1 , you are NOT a good driver .... i dont whant to opset you but that is the truth , 2 this car is intended to drive in crowded cities for wich purpose is perfect , 3 is not unstable because of its tires , is unstable because is a relativley light car for the forces involved in a normal driving experience , and second because beeng a bad driver you heave no ideea haw to handle it , and i would mention that this litle car has no rival in terms of maintenence costs , fuel consumtion and reduced size for tight places in a realy big city .... i heave one that is identical and i live in Germany , i drove the litle thing at 15o Km\h on autobahn and it has absolutley NO problem , provided you know haw to handle the litle beast, ..... remember that it has 68 horse power same as Dacia Logan or Sandero from the same year but this car has 3 cilinder engine , and dacia has 4 cilinder , so is better constructed toyota, not forget mentioning that has chain for transmission and not belt as dacia , and olso has automatic valve adjustment for better fuel economy and higher power output...... and better belive me on what i am sayng because i know my way around a car.

    "The Toyota Aygo has been around 20 years" ...... I've watched a lot of your videos, and - not trolling - you make SO many inaccuracies. The Aygo has been out for just over 15 years. You need to do more research. And anyway, if these cars are the "best of a bad bunch", why on Earth did you buy one? You have to understand what these city bugs are designed to do. Absolute basic (but fun) motoring, with the lowest running costs of any car sold new in the UK. They are great fun. People who say they are slow, simply don;t know how to drive them properly - I've seen you driving this car, changing up gear far too early for the tall ratio gearbox. The little power there is, sits at 4500rpm - if you're changing up at 2500rpm, you aren't seeing more than 30bhp! Rev it out. Change down on the motorway. They are nowhere near as slow as some people make out, if you learn how to drive them properly.

    • @ArmaganDemiral
      @ArmaganDemiral  2 роки тому +2

      You’re telling me a car with 68bhp is fast? I’m stating facts here mate. Everyone knows they have the lowest running costs and I probs mentioned that in the video? How can you expect me to ‘Rev it out’ when there’s no Rev counter, it’s basically based on judgement much like this comment. Anyway, thanks for pointing out the inaccuracies - we are human we all make mistakes

    • @stevenhickenjr
      @stevenhickenjr 2 роки тому +2

      @@ArmaganDemiral He's right though, if you're short shifting outside of the power band you'll be lugging the engine. That goes for any car. My 107 doesn't have a rev counter either. You have to hear and feel when to change, not just rely on a rev counter. My only pet peeve is that the throttle position is way to low to heel and toe efficiently.
      I'll be upgrading soon to a 5 cylinder as it is my dream (affordable) engine choice, but the 107/Aygo/C1 certainly isn't as boring and slow as you make out and that's why there's so many comments here calling you out. I'll have fond memories of mine...hung on to mine for 5 years from passing my test. Looks are always subjective though and for every person that says an E Type is the best looking car ever...there will be someone who prefers a 250 GTO or a Plymouth Superbird.

    I recently aquired my Niece's Aygo and as a former ford fiesta owner, (which basically dissolved) I'm very happy with it. It's actually nippier than the fiesta, inspite of that being 1400cc and 4 cylinder. Mine is the 2013 model which had a lot of the gremlins ironed out that you mention here. The pre March 2017 Ayog which is the all new version and still zero tax, is the best buy at the moment.

      Glad they fixed the issues. I’ve just another problem whereby there is a massive water leak in the boot and it has soaked everything. I don’t think this car will ever be classed as ‘good’. It’s just a car and you’d be better off with a Dacia Sandero

      Hi, ive just bought an Aygo auto with just 21000 miles and find the changing up and down no where near as smooth as a toque converter box to which the dealer said there is nothing wrong. But after i got him to fit some new spark plugs because i tried explain that the intermittent low speed misfire wasnt helping now that is cured but the changing from 1st gear to 2nd gear interval is less in other words you cant hold the revs too long if yer wanted to put your foot down before it goes into second and im thinking that the sequence of how the gears can be changed if you an have ECU analyser maybe altered ust like the tick over speed maybe also be adjusted because on the later models the throttle body has no cable and so no adjustment either. Its not always easy to be sure what is taking place when you suddenly acquire a new car but i cant be sure since getting it back if the creeping speed in first gear has increased a little / ? because i also mentioned that the clutch maybe showing a tiny amount of judder from take off speed !? Any thoughts or useful tips thanks?

    One advise to all car owners. It is important but neglected the whole life of the car…😮
    What is that🤔….
    The gear box oil or transmission fluid some may call it.
    Where possible it should be changed with same spec or genuine. You should get it direct from the dealers or the best you can get and get it changed at every 35-40k or every 3rd/4th year service IF POSSIBLE. If possible meaning if the gearbox has the option to refill and drain the old oil. If gearbox has the option of both and always try to open/ loosen the refill bolt/ plug first before opening the drain bolt/ plug. If you don’t have drain plug but only refill you can use oil pump to pump the oil out and refill it with fresh new oil. Oil has 5 years of shelf life then why not change it if it is being used in your car every day. The rest is up to you. Good luck.

      @@stevem4947 reliability depends on how the car was treated by its previous owner, parts are really Cheap and you can probs fix stuff yourself. Years ago, I bought a car from a private Seller for my Father, it over heated on the way home. I made him pay for the repairs it needed. It's not legal to sell a car even privately when you know something is wrong with it.

    Ask a mechanic whether it’s a heap of crap rear rubbers leak , exhaust rust but all easy fixes , think you don’t know what your on about , yes it’s no merc but most folk can maintain this car for next to nothing , ps Rev counter can fitted from other models , also clutch was updated after 2010 and more reliable but even then its £350 fitted. Please go educate yourself before spreading misinformation 😏

    Most unreliable and most expensive car I've ever owned (Pug 107)- and I've owned Porsche Boxster, F-Type Jag an and BMW Z4. A sticking window has just cost me 200 quid. Just a money pit. I would not recommend as a first car. Save a bit more and buy a Fiesta or Polo. Worth it in the end.
