Thanks for the great video. I finally replaced my belt after 342,327 kilometers. The belt still looks good keeping it as a spare. Thanks for your help. 👍
Your elantra actually made it that many kms? Mines at 183k and im over here wondering if the engine is toward the end of its life. Put high mileage oil in, only ever had breaks done, trans fluid changed and fuel injectors cleaned and plugs changed on it.
The dealer just told me they want 279.00 to replace it , I'm gonna do it in spring, its 12.99 part, thank you for this video, I now feel that I can do it myself
Thanks for the video. Is it possible to replace the AC belt from the top as well or do you have to jack the car up and remove the tire and go in from the side? thanks.
Great. Just saved me buying a serpentine tool that I don't need. Can you do a similar video on a 2009 Hyundai i30 because very different and tight space?
After replacing mine a couple months ago, it's starting to squeal now. Does it need to be tightened again? I feel like it may have stretched a bit or got loose. And do I have to loosen the 2 bolts on the alternator again, tighten the belt, and then tighten the alternator again? Or is there another way to tighten it?
Wow...that's a lot of torque on that belt! 150 ft pounds?? that can't be right. the wheel lug nuts are torqued to 60 ft lbs so I can't imagine a belt tensioner bolt would be more than double that torque. You would need a 3 foot torque wrench to achieve this amount of torque. Am I wrong? someone please chime in here.
You showed the specs for belt tension but you didn't check the tension. People, don't install like this. A belt too tight of loose will cause other problems.

Outstanding video. Totally breaks it down Crayola style. Step by step
Rich, how do you gauge belt tension properly?
How many pulleys and in what order do u put the belt on?

Great video do you know if a 15 accent has the same setup looks better then that dam tensioner
How much tension should be on the belt? How much do you torque down the lock bolt , tensioner bolt and pivot bolt? thank you
Is it still the same with a 2013 Accent?

You are the best I always wait for you and I hope you can talk about Santa Fe SE 07 more and god bls you keep going we love you
Congratulations! Next time I will replacement belt myself
Looks like it was easier to put the belt on the alternator last than to put on alternation and route to middle pulley?
Wtf mine is 2016 it doesn't have that adjuster
Great video and very detailed! Thanks!
