  • It's actually pretty easy to make the Starbucks Peppermint Mocha at home with my simple recipe! In this video I'll walk you through the steps, and share my best tips and tricks to ensure you're drink turns out delicious.

    🎄Ingredients:
    For the Drink:
    1 shot espresso (or 2-4 tablespoons strong coffee)
    8 ounces whole milk
    3 tablespoons chocolate syrup (see note)
    1/8 teaspoon peppermint flavor
    For the Toppings:
    2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
    chocolate shavings
    🎄Homemade Chocolate Syrup:
    1 cup water
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup cocoa powder
    1/2 teaspoon real salt
    1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    Place the water, sugar, and cocoa powder in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, whisking occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat.
    Stir in the vanilla extract. Allow to cool and pour into a jar or squeeze bottle. Store in the refrigerator.

    I worked there for a minute, not a great place to work at least in my area. Anyway...their mocha sauce IS just chocolate syrup. Big bag of powder mix like cocoa. No coffee in it so I am not sure why everyone calls that mocha, lol.
