I'm a BETA Jailbreak player, and I think it's safe to say that the rivalry that these 2 games had was unlike anything seen before or after 2017-2019 The dynamic that games had back then was totally different compared to now, and I think it's safe to say that both games have reached the end of their lifespans Jailbreak had constant updates and was pretty much roblox's hegemon for a while, even the devs admit that they never expected this much growth from JB in such a short amount of time Mad City was pretty much JB but with a couple of twists, and meant for players who wanted a bit more variety for robberies an teams(the only robberies in JB back then were the Cargo Train, Museum, Bank and Jewelry Store, and Mad City had the superhero team) I still remember being a stupid 11-year old watching this war go wild in all sorts of ways Ironically it's fair to say that this conflict was a draw, as both games have slowed down considerably Looking back, I think we've all grown up, and in the future, we might look back on both games with a hint of nostalgia...

Ok, so a while back I pitched the idea of doing an idea of custom robberies that are set at a certain difficulty like Geometry Dash. If you and your crew complete a lot of the hardest robberies you can get a lot more cash or exclusive rewards, and you can create your own custom custom robbery that gets popular and gives you some cash per completion. The reason why I say this is, well, Geometry Dash itself truly ran out of things to add 8 years ago; people were able to make almost any kind of level at that point, so the community took over and now it is one of the most popular games.
mad city was peak in 2020-2021-2022, me and my best friend on xbox literally stayed ingame for 4 entire hours during the event where it redid the entire city talking about the event and predicting whats gonna happen.. he hasn't been online since.
This video makes me emotional thinking that I’ve played this game ever since January of 2020 and the nostalgia hit hard. I don’t know if it’s true that they wills top updating jailbreak but I have many ideas that may work! If they stop updating jailbreak, they may even make a new prison or even other genre of Roblox games.

The main reason why I stopped playing Mad City is because of the devs' ridiculous decision to remove the option for villains to change their outfits. I have put together villain outfits for mad city because I loved roleplaying as one. It was bad enough that they kept revamping and nerfing the superpowers but removing the option to change into custom clothing was the final nail to the coffin for me.
og mad city was not that good in modeling and stuff but the old robberys were epic and perfect no bugs man i miss it used to grind it everyday after coming back from school
Hey! I don't know why people misunderstood what they said. Jailbreak won't stop updating, they will still do the seasons, they just won't add new things every month. They haven't been adding monthly stuff for like half a year already.
As a OG Mad City player that still plays today i can say that mad city is prob not coming back. Our biggest creator "Degree" quit Mad City AND UA-cam and half of the dev team quit so if mad city does uptade we wont have that many BIG creators to make vids about the game
I doubt Mad City will update again to be honest. I think Mad City was the only thing keeping me on Roblox, after that mad city update I quit playing more than once a week and for a while I didn’t even play for months, I just come online to see my friends now. It was the first game I really played a lot and seeing it go down like that, I just couldn’t play it anymore.

This video was good, but I want to give some criticism. This video really feels all over the place. I keep thinking it's about to end, but then you suddenly come in with an entirely different tone. I'd recommend scripting it out thoroughly, then reading over it to make sure its orderly. Other than that, very good video about a topic rarely discussed

Mad city in 2019 reached its peak but they started to changr everything even we change because of the pandemic. Before the pandemic every computer shop is always full of noice playing mad city and jailbreak (im one of them) and when the pandemics ended some computer shop went out of business and some computer shop is still alive but dead inside there are no more players even i stop playing mad city and jailbreak after the pandemic the after so many years i came back with a news that both games are ending it's just unbelievable but we have to accept the truth. Men i wish i can go back to the OG era of mad city and jailbreak where both games reached its peak
the whole driving and pvp in mad city is gone. you cant use a main AR if youre an hero or in robberies, the shotgun sucks to shoot with and the drifting is horrible on each car. also the fact that each car now can go somewhat as fast as a 4 million car doesnt make it anything worth it. it just hurts that my favorite game wentt down like this

Ch 1 is more cartoony and the combat is different. Ch 2 is more modern with very forgiving combat. (You die nothing really happens) There's also a lot more small details. Nostalgia is a small part of it.

Jailbreak I never really tried to approach either, idk why tbh. But I think for both games this is a fitting end for them, both have come out ontop, both have been around for a very long long time.
jailbreak isnt stopping updates. it has updated every month for the past seven years. now, the devs just decided to change the update schedule from one month to two, which could result in better updates in general.

I will always love Mad City. I played Jailbreak once or twice and I never really cared for it. I just miss when they had cool holiday updates and bosses. 😢I really struggled with the Christmas boss but I had the time of my life. I was so sad when they didn't have a boss last year. 😿

I never knew that the two games are interconnected, that Jailbreak updates because of Mad City and vise versa. Well if this is the end for this genre then its the end. But lets all be honest that bringing back Mad City chapter 1 would revive this genre.
I remember back when Madcity was all about Cluckdonalds and defeating him and when Jailbreak didnt even have the power plant robbery. To be honest, they both feel vastly different from back then if you haven't played since.

I was thinking that I was going to make a Jailbreak style game with lots of cars added every month or week. Its like the victorian era london as an open world sort of map but you can rob lots of stuff and buy futuristic cars.
I remember playing both games. Fun times especially when I first played Jailbreak and discovered how much more fun and different it was compared to prison life and redwood prison which I played way before Jailbreak.

dont think mcy ch 2 fell off on release because of the change, it was because of the day 1 bugs and poor live event quality that drove ppl off slowly
I'd say 1/3 of the community left bc of the change. The other 2/3 left bc of the game-breaking bugs and lag that got worse over time. Lack of updates, etc.

If the mad city brings back buyable house and apartment I’m all fine
I never knew that the two games are interconnected, that Jailbreak updates because of Mad City and vise versa. Well if this is the end for this genre then its the end. But lets all be honest that bringing back Mad City chapter 1 would revive this genre.
I remember back when Madcity was all about Cluckdonalds and defeating him and when Jailbreak didnt even have the power plant robbery. To be honest, they both feel vastly different from back then if you haven't played since.
Tbh I respect asimo and badcc decisions but I’m gonna be brutally honest any new game they make it not gonna make it like jailbreak :/ who knows maybe but I think eventually they will come crawling back
With kids on Roblox these days playing things like Brookhaven I don’t see this happening

Tbh, I like mad city chapter 2 better than chapter 1. Many people who prop didn’t play when it was chapter 1 say that it’s way better. Well I don’t think it is, mad city has improved a lot since chapter 1. Sad to see it fade away like this.
I was thinking that I was going to make a Jailbreak style game with lots of cars added every month or week. Its like the victorian era london as an open world sort of map but you can rob lots of stuff and buy futuristic cars.
I remember playing both games. Fun times especially when I first played Jailbreak and discovered how much more fun and different it was compared to prison life and redwood prison which I played way before Jailbreak.

Mad city should make chapter 3, and use chapter 1 as a base. They can of course change things but they should make it so that it feels like ch1.

Why JB/Mad city expanded their powers too much that maintenance and updating takes too much effort to be carried out. Just like the Soviet Union, too big to not fall.

Thats the problem with roblox games. They change too much. Just look at GTA V, 10yrs later and its the same city but they still add new content so youre never bored.
