Another great video John. Your tutorials are some of the best on UA-cam. Anyone with some basic skills can follow your instructions. The end product may niot be as good as yours but it's getting people making! Keep up the good work.

Hi Jon - I don't know if you'll see this but I have a question. I subscribed to get the free plans for these boxes, but when I confirmed my subscription, the free plans I was offered weren't for these planter boxes (they were for a garden workbench, which I don't need). I figured I'd just buy the plans from your website, but they're not offered on there. How can I get a copy of the plans for this project?

Just built 2 of these. I beefed mine up with 3x3 legs and made it taller at 27” though.

Jon, I noticed your wood lathe has a max cut length of 18", but the planter legs are 21-1/4 " long. Was it your Rockler mini lathe you were using?
I can't recall the last time I saw someone use there Miter Gage, any particular reason vs a cross cut sled?

Hi John, How did the planter hold up during the summer?
Very good, I did put them in storage at the end of October… I gave them another coat of paint just for some more protection
