Took me until the end of the video to realize that why the video felt off was because Skadi wasn't screaming the entire time like all the other huskies

It is almost a magical silent treatment going on there. But then she discloses that pair of eyes.

High vet costs are so scary. My 2 year old rescue Rottweiler, Artemis, got diagnosed with cancer 2 months ago. She had ankle swelling develop in her back left leg. Thousands of dollars later, she is now a tripod. She is doing well, but financially we are spent. She could really use physical therapy because it is hard to be a tripod at 70 pounds. She does have a Go Fund Me account listed as -Artemis’ Amputation by Lily G. If nobody can donate then I understand. We are all spent in today’s economy. Prayers would be greatly appreciated though, as they are free. She is my best friend, my heart, my fur sole mate, my nightly little spoon cuddle buddy, and even as a tripod she is my constant protector. I may have rescued her from a shelter, but SHE rescued me. Love to all our fur babies who mean more to us than we can ever let them know❤❤
I'm so glad Artemis is doing well after such a rough time. Hopefully we can all help out a bit with the financial stress!
Thank you. I think this has been harder on me than poor Artemis. My vet actually fell in love with her and was amazing throughout the journey. He said he got nervous when she was coming out of the anesthesia. He told me all dogs start making noise after waking up, but all he heard was silence. He rushed over to make sure she was okay. He found her just sitting up in her cage completely content while quietly wagging her tail. When I bring her in for post surgery examinations, the entire staff come out to greet her. My income tax return came in days before her surgery. If not for that……..
Have you looked into pancur/fenbendazole to prevent the cancer from reoccuring?
For anyone besides eatdabugz here, those medications are dewormers. I haven't looked into them specifically, but many dewormers have been touted falsely as treatments for illnesses and diseases not related to worms (e.g., cancer). (Remember the dewormer people thought would help with the global health emergency of 2020?) It's a big pseudoscience talking point.
I wish Artemis the best, and I'm sorry people are trying to sell you on fake treatments when you are in a vulnerable financial position.
I’ve never heard of that, but will definitely look into it. She is only two. I had the vet scan her whole body before surgery to make sure it had not spread. I didn’t want to put her through a leg amputation if she had other tumors. We were lucky and the scans were clear.
Shoutout to the donators but also to the miracle-working medical team that our funds went to! Holy cow.
is the donation part thru THIS channel? I know Vanessa has more than one. I plan on keeping that. I can't give much, but I always give to animal welfare as well as for people. Vanessa's channel has grown so much, and I'm here for it!💕💕😊😊

After the Æser gods killed her father, she stormed in demanding reparation!
First, Loke made her laugh - by doing a tug-of-war with the rope tied to a goat at the one end, and his "man-bells" at the other 😂
She was then allowed to choose a husband from among the gods, but could only see their feet! Thinking the best-looking feet had to be Baldr, she chose ... Njorð, the god of trade and travel (by water) - and father of Frøy & Frøya.
They spent some time in his home by the ocean, but Skade hated the sound of waves crashing and gulls screaching. They moved to her home, but Njorð hated the howling of wolves and stormy winds.
They did not divorce, but didn't really live together either.
Is Skadi's quietness a result of what she went through? Sounds like she went through a lot when she was in hospital. She is so sweet and the quietest Husky I have ever seen. ❤ I am so grateful that all were saved. The power of "we".
She’s always been reserved in her howls. Usually she saves them for when we come home and she’s had her energy pent up 😂😂😂

I can't imagine the terror of having your dogs so sick; so glad to hear they're well.
I had a puppy drop into cluster seizures all night once, cause unknown, and a pricy trip to the emergency vet but while that was terrifying, and she's completely fine now, that holds not a flicker of a candle to your ordeal. I'm giving my poodles extra snuggles ❤️
You can tell she's still bothered from all the lip licking but she really took this groom like a champ
aw i remember her gofundme! $20 well spent. as a vet tech the worst part of my job by far is the astronomical cost of veterinary care. so glad skadi was able to benefit from crowd funding

@@QUICKBOOKS1 Xylitol is really good for your teeth. It does not spike human blood sugar or insulin, like other sweeteners do, which makes it a good alternative to sugar.

Me neither until the Americans in a dog forum suddenly kept warning everyone about it. Apparently a few American brands suddenly switched to using it without warning, so the peanut butter people had used for years or even decades as dog treat suddenly became toxic to them :(
