There once was a master that would throw small rocks at his students, a devoted student kept the rock and took it home, washed it off (cleaned it) and found it was pure gold. The master is life, the rock is our trials, the gold is yourself.

More and more, of late, the blissing experience -- extent/frequency/duration -- has become my most obvious feedback. It has even begun to show up in the exercises I practice after sitting. So I know that the om japa and navi are having an affect, despite their subtlety. Certainly pulls one forward! Thanks, Forrest!

Thanks for explaining the importance of chanting OM in each chakra. I loved the part where Bliss is so overwhelming that we can’t work 🙏🙏🙏.
The inability to manage “sensual acceleration” leads to a lot of trouble in spiritual life of a Yogi. Thanks for discussing that candidly.
Your videos are a blessing for many of us. Eye opener.

@@ForrestKnutson hello sir, My name is Soumya Kanti Paul I have been doing kriyayoga for past 10 months. My mind is so disturbed that initially it was very difficult to chant om as thought comes goes very rapidly that sometimes I even miss some chanting on chakra. But later on I could do the chanting but still thought comes in between chakra om japa. I try to eliminate thought and see the blank space between 2 om japa in chakra but not succeeded till now. Please guide me. What to do?

wow was thinking about this for the past week and poof this video just appears spontaneously.
the cleanse felt after a long session of OM japa or even transcendental meditation is real. i notice i am not driven by fear and that my thinking is of better quality since my ego is not overly attached to what will go wrong in the future ( fear based thinking). I feel the bliss subtly when i combine it with the HRV, especially when i relax the face with something like a clay face mask. one other idea is to maybe combine it with homa or a fire ceremony, that way the pupils will naturally dilate when looking at the fire ( almost like a natural haukala) thus further leading to expansion.

Curious about your experience with TM. I’ve been following the program on AYP for a few months now and the main part of it is DM (deep meditation), which is basically the same as TM. AYP also has elements of kriya, the main practice is called spinal breathing pranayama, which I’ve come to understand is basically kriya pranayama. I’ve noticed that the DM has lead to a lot more inner silence, but also a kind of mental unfocusedness. This hasn’t changed much in the past few months so I’m looking into Forrest’s stuff. Do you still practice TM regularly alongside OM japa and HRVRB?

    • @mikedonbass
      @mikedonbass 9 місяців тому

@@jamesjasonallen4168 yes. The spinal breathing or sushumna breathing is real and you can feel it stronger and stronger later on. I will check out AYM, seems interesting. Yes i do TM before my kriya sessions because it makes kriya so much easier. TM removes the mental fog and constant wordiness ( constantly articulating and saying sentences) so the mind is more silent. Its a manadatory thing in my practice.

I have a Tantric teacher. He's a well known scholar. We work from the back of the chakras, there's also more than one chakra system. I feel the most potent energy in my back of my energy centres. I'll add that not everyone has a bottom up awakening, you can have the reversal too.

Forrest, Thank you for this wonderful video. My path to the present has been a long and arduous. Ten years ago, with the help or meditation, I started clearing the debris that prevented me from being present--longing, trauma, restlessness. The irony is that being present is the antidote to all distractions but getting to this realization and accepting and practicing it is no easy feat. Lately, I’ve realized that when I’m not present, I miss it, or I miss out on something. Today, you clarified the mystery of how the practice of kriya yoga eventually offers the cleansing and clarity needed to be present. Thank you, sir. I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas.

    • @ForrestKnutson

Thank you for the video! OMing from front to back is a subtlety to Kriya I haven't come across in my years of practice and study. I've always done OMs from the back into the spine. I will definitely give this technique a try.
Is the frontal 'gateway' chakra energy related to the ventral vagus nerve? This is where all the social functions are, so it makes sense given how you've described the energy. In that case, would the origin of the chakras relate to the dorsal vagal nerve?
    Thank you again!

Hello Forest, what can it be when we have tamasic effects when applying OM japa in to the chakras? Sometimes instead of feeling clean and blissful, I feel a kind of torpor, I feel closed off. Forgive me if there are any errors in English, I'm from Brazil and I'm using Google Translate to formulate this sentence lol.

When we enter into a low-idel-state, then we begin to merge with the slower brainwaves. This is a natural progression of meditation, and so we want to be well rested, and interested in our meditation so we can survive this "gauntlet of sleep" as I call it. As the Kahuna say, we go down, to then go up.

My problem during om japa is that when I do in the throat centre and then my toungue wants to enter kechari, so i put it in stage 3 kechari. This sort of breaks my concentration. When I do it in my manipura, my stomach goes into a vacuum pose, stays there for a while, and returns to normal. There is all sorts of weird belly dancing movements 😅This sort of break my concentration and my SVS. What do I do? Help, brother Forrest 😊 ❤❤

These are automatic kriyas, which can be spontaneous, or from your previous practices. Try just a very light mental OM and tell the body to relax, relax, relax. Go this way just a little bit at a time until the subconscious calms down and accepts the calm physical state. 🙏✨

@ForrestKnutson I just tried your method. It makes so much difference. I can still feel the peace after meditation. The only problem is when breath becomes tranquil and the vagus complex slowly tightens up , I stop breathing, and it becomes hard to breathe. I can feel some energy moving from my heart to ajna when this happens. But after this, I gasp and take a big breath, which breaks my concentration.
