Had 4 years training and have been on a two year hiatus since. These videos have clicked me back in and showed me more than I knew. Pointing my chest up has changed my range of wall run drastically.
Thank you. Thank you for you contribution to the community. It has helped so many.

It has been over 10 years since I last watched this video. Back then, I was 16 and so much interested in parkour and freerunning, and this channel was my go-to channel for learning parkour maneuvers. Man!! Time flies!! I wish I could go back to the time when my friends and I used to practice this.

    Hi Jesse,
I'm thinking of using this to help me to improve assault course times in my military career. I don't get too many opportunities to practice other than when myself and my guys are all being assessed. As a result I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind:
    1. I know that usually soft grippy shoes are favored for Parkour. Well, we are all using our combat boots. They are grippy for sure, but also quite hard and inflexible. Will they work for grip off the wall effectively do you think?
    2. It looks to be like from the top of the wall you have limited forward momentum, which is good, because I will have to turn around and hang off the top to help the rest of my team over! Am I correct, or in reality am I going to just fall straight over the top of the wall through momentum?
Thanks for your tutorial, it's excellent and your teaching style has been extremely clear.

practice pushups, pullups and dips alongside your climbup and you will develop the strength necessary to perform the move! There is an element of strength involved; it's not 100% technique. best of luck!

I can finally do this! I just started training parkour, only about 3 months of training, whitout gym or people to help me, I can do kongs, reverse, dash, lazy, precision, precision 360, wall run, tic tac and stride! I know it isn't much but after almost 18 years of doing nothing, no workout, no nothing, I feel pretty acomplished, and I'm going for more! Thanks Jesse!
Also a tip to gain strenght on your arms and do this, is push ups obviously, but I've never liked to work out as I don't find it fun to do, so the only 'push-ups' I did was trying to climb up a wall, the first month and half it was hard, but after that, climbing up now comes naturally, also, Jesse recommends not to use your elbows, it hurts and indeed you'll scratch your elbows, but it actually helped me climb up the first times, so I'd say use them until you don't need them, but yeah, try to avoid using them if you can.

Wow this video really helped. The main thing I was doing wrong was not looking up with my chest and getting to close to the wall. I am a lil too old for Parkour, but this wall climb is very very practical imo. Keep up the good work.
