Kintsugi is related to Wabi-sabi, which is a style that accepts the imperfections and impermanence of everyday life. Wabi-sabi is a beautiful art form. I also like saying wabi-sabi. Wabi-sabi. Thanks for sharing!

I thought epoxy wasn’t food safe?

Yeah it's not recommended. Becomes more of an ornament this way.

Thank you! I'm just starting to learn about this! I should have my supplies by next Friday! So I've been looking for more informative videos and so far yours has been my favorite! ❤

I don't have any ceramics, though I am glad you're diversifying! Go SallieKat!

This is so awesome. You are really branching out with your videos and I love it. I might have to hire you to produce my videos . Keep up the great work

Thank you! I thought the “I learned something” shirt would be appropriate for this. XD

It's a perfect example how NOT to do it.

can you drink from that cup, put it in the microwave and use it as a normal one?

It's fine for cold drinks, but I wouldn't use it for hot ones. Hot water from a dishwasher will soften the epoxy, and I don't trust it in a microwave.

@@SallieKatStudio Epoxy is toxic, and I wouldn't trust the coloring you are adding either. Even kintsugi made by the traditional methods say that it isn't safe for food anymore and is strictly a showpiece. I would stop using it as a water cup.
