Turbo EJs don't have head gasket issues, you're thinking of NA. They do still share the common timing belt issues.

If thats an 06, those rear control arms look stock. I think the aluminum ones only came on the 06.

I remember this car when it was at Funk-E-Built in Denver. I was getting my 02 Bugeye tuned and saw this in the parking lot. This was about 6 years ago. It was an Oneil Racing Vehicle and I was told that Travis Pastrana raced that car. When I saw it, it had a JDM EJ207 in it. What a sick ride!! How many people here live a Rally Life????
I'll see you at Glen Helen broski. Btw. Wrx has viscous center coupler. I don't recommend shocking that too much. The wrx is also front bias awd with open front diff. Sti is rear bias awd with essentially an open center diff and clutch pack that engages with electric power.
Honda CRV awd is a car that shovels, the damned thing never got stuck. With a bit of left foot braking it’ll take a corner well too. Used to wear out the rear brakes faster than the front on my 2002.

My local SCCA Rally X is like a Autocross on dirt,grass,mud,gravel been using my 2004 STi all that I’ve lost is almost every body panel. Other than that it’s super fun sideways between huge trees. Recently been Sim Rally racing in multiple tournaments with drivers that I’m only two American drivers out of hundreds and I’m representing pretty well for us!

This STI is what every teenager runs here in Utah lol. It's a bare bones stage 2 set up. I've got a 2002 WRX That I've turned into a drift car that is literally this same set up but with a front mount. Didn't know you had started doing rally stuff, just stumbled on your channel. I'm gonna go check out the rest of your WRX build videos.

Hey Micha if you and Ron ever have the cars out too Ohio I'm sure I can get a permit too close some Forestry rds down for a day too get some seat time. You can probably get a permit in some of your local Forestry 's Or Fire access rds so on so forth just talk too your local City council, State Park services, So on so forth you'd be amazed of what you can get permits too do..lol
