    Ok Maxim, in here. I'm not a Suzuki cello girl (I found the score in book 4) but a Dotzauer's girl because that's the method may teacher decided for me. No problem! I'm struggling like anyone else. Trying to get a bit, at least a note of nice sound. Your video helps me a lot, I love Bach so much. Thank you

      Can I ask you about the "arcate"? Did you choose them for pedagogical proposes? Why?

    • @Cellopedia
      @Cellopedia  Рік тому +1

      I think you are talking about bowings, correct? There are so many different ways to play Bach. Most of experienced cellists choose to use their own "unique" bowings. I am trying to use the bowings from well known editions. I believe I use Barenreiter edition for this recording. When I perform Bach suites in life concerts, I often change bowings - nothing stays the same in our life :)

    Kozlov, I can't thank you enough for completing this video. For some reason this piece by Bach really moves me....but I found myself stuck reading the notes since my sight reading is not very good. With this video done slowly I will be able to figure out the parts that were difficult for me. Also I believe you have the best teaching method, of any instructor on-line, by doing the SLOW and then regular speed videos. Furthermore, I am pretty certain that you are the only instructor who demonstrates this Bach piece slowly. I am anxious to get home after work so that I can use this video. Thank you so much !!!

    Thanks for making this! I can't thank you enough! I am working on minuet no.2, but I can't quite grasp how to play it. I keep on forgetting what signature it is in, and play wrong sharps and flats. But with this, I now understand it! No wonder my teaher told me to listen to slow tempo songs if I couldn't really read them. And, once again, thank you VERY much!

    Thank you for this, I'm working on my intonation so I thought listening to it might help, but all the videos I found were all really fast and I wanted something slower so I could really pay attention to the notes. This is closer to the tempo I'm currently playing these at, so it's really helpful. I would also like to say your tone and overall sound of these is absolutely beautiful and I hope to play them like this one day.

    Thank you so much for the many videos you have made. They have helped my son and I learn cello together. A question: With this video you do do the bowing and slurring differently from our edition of Suzuki 4 (the most recent edition) Is there a reason or is it personal preference?

    • @Cellopedia
      @Cellopedia  2 роки тому +2

      Thank you! I am so happy to be of help. Yes, I am using different bowings/fingerings as I mentioned in the description. There are way more reputable editions of Bach cello suites - Barenreiter, Henle, etc. They are the source of inspiration for me. Music of Bach is so complex that it requires more personal, thoughtful approach, which every cellist should achieve after years of experience. I am sure you will feel it this way too.
