It is hard for me to believe that AFRICA of all places and all its color and diversity of natural plant substance was suddenly introduced to a variety of colors by the European. What will they pay you to say next?
Tis not true the Europeans introduced colour to Kente weaving, because with all the colour in Africa and African culture how would the Kente weavers wait till the European comes to introduce colour to Africans. The traditional Kente weavers got their colours from tree back sourced dyes.
Wonderful to see that these fabrics are still handmade while so much technical expertise is being lost to mechanization.
So that's where we Jamaicans got our weaving skills
