These park rangers get paid very little. Turtle eggs sell for a fortune as a delicasy in Indonesia. The rangers could make more money selling the eggs. Instead, they carefully collect amd rebury the eggs where they can guard them until they hatch and then hand them out to tourists (who pay a small amaount for the experience) to release onto the beach and scamper to the ocean.
It was such a joy to do this and help a critically endangered species.
