I have owned many garage door openers in the past 40yrs and I have to say this opener is the best I've ever owned!!!!!! And I still can't believe how quiet this Sky/Link is! I mean this Guys!! I have always owned craftsman ALWAYS!! and I just don't know why I purchased this one? I guess I picked up on the advertisement that it was quiet? I think?? But seriously my wife and I rent out a apartment above the garage and I suppose I thought it wouldn't bother our renters!!! I just can't believe how quiet this unit is! And yes it was so easy to install and hook up the remotes!! But please people. Thanks SKY/LINK I will be buying another one for my 2nd door as soon as I get the money for it!!
There is nothing more annoying than getting the job done ( 9:59 mark ) and then finding you have a brick wall on the other side of your garage door when you open it.
The video isn't even for the model I have even though this is directly from the website. I don't have t-rails, I have rectangular-shaped rails. Also, the components differ. Every video on the website is for these particular rails. If I have an updated model, then there needs to be an update tutorial to reflect that.
@@oldmanwinter3597 OldManWinter exactly. I did end up getting mine installed just to realize that it was a very idiotic design. The rail buckle slightly in the middle when the door gets lifted about 7 inches from the ground, and then I get a fault. It doesn't make sense that the company decided to change from the t-rail design. There no was for me to reinforce the middle of the rail without blocking the path of the traveler.
At 5:08, DO NOT Mount upside down, but the video can't take the time to show which was is actually upside down. This is nothing more then 12 minute infomercial with as much actual contact. How many times does this instructional video say "See the manual"?
Because I've been a garage door installer for almost 17 years the only thing I was thinking when I watched this video is there's no strut on the top section and the guys spring tube wasn't level lol.
Not sayong anything bad about this operator since I haven't installed one yet. I will say though this is the worst opener install I have ever watched. They didnt even have a impact to put up the new front mount. You got the liftmaster bracket with paint on it man. Then you got that long ass bolt on the hangs cause you didn't stop at Harbor Freight for a cheap tool.

Very easy and simple instructions to follow. My opener was the tube rail but the steps are the same. Thank you very much for the video!

Haha!
If I press and hold set button for 10 sec. It goes to letter E instead of letter F. Which means I can't adjust the force. How can I do that?

Same here. different traveler and turnbuckle. Instructions are basically useless, leaving out a few necessary steps.

@@Psycho1209 Yeah, I completely get why they were so cheap. Got mine at a walmart clearance. Waste of time and money.
@@oldmanwinter3597 I got mine on an Amazon deal. I wish I would've just went went the Craftsman instead.

Wonderful opener!
What name or image do you use to stop the sensor when you're joking?
SUPER INSTALATION
It goes for 1 inch at a time and stops itself
can i use a keypad ??
I'm changing my existing opener with the Skylink unit. Is it ok to use the existing low voltage wiring, for the open/close button and the sensors?
yes
Why is it so small?

Wow
Absolute biggest piece of shit I’ve ever had to install. If you are an installer and are thinking about selling these. Don’t.
That looks so small
The music is so annoying. Can I turn it off?
