While EU1 does exist, I wouldn't recommend playing it. Graphically, it looks almost identical to EU2, but it has a terrible tutorial, you can only choose to play with 1 of (up to) 8 presented nations in each scenario, there are no domestic policies (so all nations are exactly the same, just occupy different territories), Religion wasn't a thing, you can only take up to 3 provinces in peace treaties - with Lv.1 Trade Post (with 10 people) considered worth the same as a city with thousands of people, fortifications and a Trade Center, etc. In short, EU2 was a huge improvement.
For several reasons. I've played EU2 when I was a kid and liked it. I couldn't play v1.0 (which I had back then) on new laptops & PCs, so I got the GOG version last year and found it just as fun as I did all those years ago. I've never played and I don't own EU4. I'm not fond of the fact that the base game costs 40 euros (10 years after release) and all the DLCs add up to 470 euros. There are very few EU2 videos on UA-cam and *many* EU4 videos. There are several videos showcasing the Synthetics in EU4, yet *no videos* show the Aliens in EU2.
So Eu2 does exist, i wonder if eu1 exists as well 🤯

@@nijunikuro im happy for you that you play and enjoy this game 🤝
@@nijunikuro whats the appeal of eu2?
@@nijunikuro Shit like what you just said is why steam sales are less a gift and more a necessity to buy any game for a reasonable price.
@@AmilMuxtarov Thank you for your kind words. :)
Do you play EU4? Is base game worth getting without DLCs?
