The choice of notes and melodies in this song is extraordinary, especially when the chorus comes around the second time, the placement of the notes and the guitar and the vocals and the background instruments are absolutely phenomenal and evokes so much emotion from the sounds chosen for those portions of the chorus and my favorite part is when the chorus comes around the second time and you really feel the instruments amped up and brings new life and new energy to the song the more you listen it is absolutely incredible
As a guitarist who plays a lot of gojira, this is probably one their top 3 easiest to play but I’m amazed how they made it sound so good out of its simplicity
Nah just an amateur, i just do this, because i hear things that can be improved. And by improving other songs, it helps me improve my own songs that i make.
I think this master of it sounds less muddy. Not that the people who did it originally don't know what they're doing just sometimes they mix the audio for your shitty car speakers
In my opinion on first listen not as good as the original. This one sounds a lot less open to my ears, and a bit too dull too. Nice that you challenge yourself this way though, good job!
Because thats the only thing i dont like about the song. The production. Vocals are buried in the mix, way too much mid range, which gives it too much air, drums are slightly too loud. I wish they kept the L'Enfant Sauvage production.
@@lapseofjudgment7382 Honestly I think the reason his vocals are so buried is because of his screams. His vocals were my number one concern going into this album. I'm sure its no secret that his harsh vocals are not what they used to be. It seems like he REALLY lost it in 2017 but its been gradually regressing even before that. Which is why when Another World came out I wasn't surprised to hear the vocals so buried.
@@austinmartinez9053 I don't think that's the reason. Joe's live performance in terms of growling vocals after a long tour is tiring to his voice, especially when he does his extreme vocals as he has done them in the past. But after a break from touring and regeneration he of course owns back his abilities. But that is not the sound they are going for anymore. It is something different than Gojira's albums like "Terra Incognita, The Link, The Way of All Flesh, From Mars to Sirius". Joe calls it their evolution of music. It's less "death metal" if you could even call it death metal, because Gojira really have their own kind of composition, sound and transcendence of the emotions to the listener. Anyways, Joe told us, he wants to be softer and quieter. Which is nor good or bad. It is their own progression as a band. You can check out some of my Gojira vocal covers on my channel, if you have the time. I would really much appreciate to hear your thought about my covers in the comment section. Thank you for your time
@@austinmartinez9053 Yeah true, they were also my biggest concern, i feel that he started truly losing his voice in 2014-15 ish before magma because you could tell his voice was really tired because they've been touring a lot during the l'enfant sauvage tour. But then his voice completely lost in in 2017 and has gotten a bit worse i think. i hope joe's voice could recover, but he's not getting any younger unfortunately.
If you have never seen these dudes live, you should. One of the best shows you'll ever see.
Saw them once, by far the greatest performance I’ve ever seen in my life
I saw them playing flying whales live in Santiago Gets Louder, Chile! It was astonishing!
I saw them at like Midday in Australia and even then it was an amazing set
This song is straight up a headbanger
Mad easy on the guitar as well!
You should try born in winter or the gift of guilt, that’s when the real skills kick in
--Mortal, spawn on the altar
Caught in the heart of the blaze
The primal fear of disappearing
Becoming a ghost in the void
(Death)
[Verse 2]
Give a price, put a name
None of it real in this matter
Wandering, distracting
Wishing the life of another self
[Chorus]
We were born for one thing
Tame the greatest fear of all
We were born for one thing
Born to face the greatest fear of all
[Verse 3]
We're all drawn into ourselves
In a collective coma
Remember gazing up for answers
But now we're staring down
(Down)
(Down)
(Down)
(All is blur in the maze we put an end to all)
(All is blur in the maze we put an end to all)
[Chorus]
We were born for one thing
Tame the greatest fear of all
We were born for one thing
Born to face the greatest fear of all
[Bridge]
We're no one
United
When we're gone

Sounds better than the original. Props my man
God...I need them 🖤
Now we can hear Joe
Now I can hear the whales!!!!!!!
I could hear him in the original version

Whos joe?
@@viiforviolet4729 Joe is the singer/guitarist
Stellar work dude, cheers.
I hope you do production work professionally, because this is great! I love the original as well, pros and cons to both IMO.

Seeing these guys with Korn in Oct. Its going to be a hell of a show.

Please, Amazonia Remaster, I beg you 😭
Sure, I'll do it
What are you guys listening to this song on? I have no problem hearing the vocals in the original mix. Im not trying to be a dick I'm just curious.
Agreed I just clicked this one out of curiosity
That breakdown destroys everything I am then rebuilds it on the spot what headphones were made for
Awesome sound , thanks dude 🤘🏻
The fucking part with pinch harmonics is so heavy, same riff like verse but heavier ❤
Awsom ,thaks, 💫
I was born for one thing and that is to subscribe to your channel.
YES!!
Thanks dude, the vocals we're my biggest annoyance. Solid song tho, i hope the rest of the album will be mixed better.
Rest sucked harder than this lmao. :D
Why would it be remastered if it just came out?
Why would that matter tho? Its about how it sounds not when it was released

@@xkidgey Yeah the original mix in my shitty car speakers sound excellent actually lol absolutely correct.
😍🤘
Better people then me spent there time better and made the place little less of a shit hole.
Fuck this is killer

Literally sounds the same as the original
